I love old and historic homes.  I love a good house tour.  My friend Pattye Benson and her fine friends at the Tredyffrin Historic Preservation Trust put on a lovely house tour of old and historic structures in Tredyffrin Township, Chester County every fall.

This year the tour is 10th Annual Historic House Tour is  Saturday, September 27, 2014 Noon – 5 PM and House Tour Preview Party is Saturday, September 21, 2014 5 PM – 8  PM.

This is the 10th anniversary of the tour and the Trust is focusing on homes designed  Chester County architect R. Brognard Okie (1875-1945) including his personal 18th century residence, ‘Hillside Farm’ in Berwyn.

For the past few years now, I have been a patron of this event.  I donate my photography services to the Tredyffrin Historic Preservation Trust and photograph the homes and their grounds and gardens on the tour for the Trust.

I am posting this afternoon to not only ask you to mark your calendar and to buy tickets, but to ask the preservation minded who are able to support endeavors like this to consider becoming a sponsor as well. I also wanted to let Chester County Caterers know that the Trust is also interviewing catering sponsors who want to be part of the preview party the week before the event.  The preview party is a lot of fun and this year is at Historic Duportail House. This preview party does get press and is well attended , so it is an ideal place for new caterers especially to make themselves known!
