Sometimes photos just have to stand alone without much commentary. I have taken these photos because I am shocked at the continued deterioration of the historic farmhouse and outbuildings at Exton Main Street in West Whiteland Township.
Epic preservation fail.
It was obvious from the begining the remaining historic structures were not going to be used It became obious recently that demolition was imanent. Typically historic preservation credits expire after 10 years or so. As a former archaeologist and current history teacher I find this sort of thing painful but difficult to stop.

As a former archaeologist and current history teacher it upsets me but these things are difficult to stop unless you are involved from the beginning. We lack an understanding of and appreciation for the past.
