  1. Margaret Strawbridge Clews used to live there, but she moved up to New England, I believe, many years ago and has since passed. I’d guess one of her sons owns it now. I remember admiring a painting over her fireplace and when I asked about it, she casually mentioned that it was a Rembrandt. Not a copy either. She was a long-time member of Downingtown Friends Meeting, which is how I knew here. She was a big-time feminist and supporter of women political candidates.

      No I’m pretty sure last time I checked the whole kit and caboodle had been sold sadly – And you are not the only one who has told me stories of that house and then apparently there used to be an artist who worked in a barn behind that
