Well funny cartoon, but its almost 3PM and I haven’t even had coffee yet. As a matter of fact, it’s one of those days where something resembling breakfast didn’t happen until close to 1 PM.
File the day under no good deed goes unpunished. Today is definitely one of those days.
It starts where someone contacts you late last night to complain about your sharing an article written by a newspaper. message overnight from what was probably a fake account and I am doing them a favor and not showing the name in a screenshot. They contacted me about an article The Daily Local News published on May 21, 2025.
I am NOT the paper, like many people I subscribe to the local paper. I shared the article, that is not a crime. How do I know what the Daily Local published was wrong?? The reporter, Michael Rellahan, is the court reporter, why aren’t they talking to him or the editor? Why aren’t they talking to the District Attorney’s office if what was reported from court is wrong? Does what happened really change if the time of day changes?
THE NEWSPAPER HAS NOT REMOVED THE ARTICLE ! THEIR ISSUE IS WITH THEM AND DO THEY THINK I AM THE ONLY PERSON WHO SHARED THIS ARTICLE?
What article? Why this one:
Chester County woman pays fine for vehicle collision while fleeing scene of tryst
By Mike Rellahan
UPDATED: May 21, 2025 at 5:09 PM EDT
A Chester County woman who was apparently caught having sex in the back of a car with the husband of another woman, then dented the wife’s car as she fled the scene of the tryst, has pleaded guilty to summary charges in the matter.
Whomever you are, your issue is not with me, but I have an issue with this message:
Whomever you are, if you keep contacting people who shared this article, it keeps the story alive.
I did not cause the issue, and originally? I shared the article without comment. Now I am commenting. Next time someone wants to have an affair, no matter what time of day it is, don’t get caught in a parking lot like a pair of teenagers. Or better yet, don’t cheat on your spouse. It was a Real Housewives of Chester Springs moment for sure.
Then you don’t quite agree with what someone is discussing with you and now they won’t take your call and are ghosting you. I mean for real.
This is something that a friend wished to discuss, and I get that. But I couldn’t at that time. And I am also sorry that I didn’t pick up the phone this morning when I was in the middle of what felt like 20 things at once. I texted, and me and my voice got lost in translation.
And now it’s twisted consternation?
My bad, I own it. But now this friend will not take my call and that feels unfair to me.
Finally, I checked in on someone in a neighboring municipality whom I tried to help a while back just to see how things were going, and they were rude. I mean not a little bit rude, but I felt a LOT rude.
Something else related but not the same popped up, and I figured I would check in on this person. They have a real issue and I would not want to be in their shoes. But I not create the issue. I simply thought of them. Not for a blog post or anything like that, just wondered how they were and if everything was OK.
I am really and truly sorry they are experiencing what they are experiencing and it is an issue obnoxious enough that I would probably want to spit nails. But I would not take it out on a person who tried to help and was just checking in.
Anyway, it’s about 3:30 PM so maybe now I can finally have my cup of coffee.
Rant over
