What government fundamentally needs is appropriate funding. The last county property tax reassessment was in 1992…. 31 years ago.. People made that happen, R’s and D’s alike. So in that regard, neither side has clean hands.
We elect them to govern. Part of the job is grabbing the third rail at times.
The uniformed force was outside. Good for the crew and that picture. Good for Bivens in backing up his crew. Good for Deb Ryan standing up. DA Ryan doesn’t control funding. The commissioners do. And their absence this past 14 days was noticeable. At least the Gov. showed up..
How is funding going to be addressed where problems can actually be addressed and fixed. This is what we elect people to do. Nobody said it was fair or easy. And.. nobody forces candidates to run.
