BREAKING:once again, aqua fails the public – this time over data centers

I don’t know what to make out of this. We learned the news yesterday that there’s a magic will serve letter, but we were almost expecting a magic letter, weren’t we?

If you think Aqua shouldn’t be doing this, you can send emails to the company. You just have to be polite.

Also in case you wish to email East Whiteland, here is a letter I grabbed from Ginny Kerslake to share:

Dear EWT Supervisors,

The Township did a grave disservice to our community in approving and recording the 2024 Data Center plan, all in violation of our township ordinance section 1 75–24.

This section explicitly requires a will-serve letter from Aqua AND a plan from Aqua of the proposed distributtion system demonstrating that the project will not degrade water service to existing customers.

The township was repeatedly reminded of this by ARRO in their consultant reviews of the Preliminary and Final Land Applications. The Township ignored this and approved the plan despite these deficiencies.

Yesterday the Township announced it is in receipt of a letter from Aqua confirming that the water for the 2024 approved plan will be supplied to Sentinel Green Fig despite AQUA saying in 2024 they could only supply roughly 20% of this.

The Township has not made this letter public. I urge that you do so immediately. At the very least community members should be able to expect transparency.

AQUA email addresses sourced from the Internet, and note that Christopher Franklin CEO lives in Willistown like Charlie Lyddane.

Please show up at the next East Whiteland meeting in person if possible. Bring a friend! Call a reporter!

Next Wednesday! October 14th 6:30 PM (But come Early) East Whiteland Township Building 209 Conestoga Road Malvern, PA 19355

East Whiteland pretty much sucks right now. Oh and in spite of that fakakta document being something the public has a RIGHT to see, there was at least one email from a non- attorney saying basically they had to check with Aqua and the developer to make sure nobody had any objections to this being released and are they freaking kidding me?

So from a knowledgeable friend who read the letter, here is part of their opinion:

So here…

-Aqua has only committed to providing less than 66% of what was requested in 2024?

  • it’s less than 66% because the amount requested in 2024 did not include fire suppression
  • the required plan from Aqua demonstrating that existing customers will not experience degarded service is still missing isn’t it? This plan is especially important now that Aqua is saying that they can provide three times what they committed to in 2024.

My acerbic , sarcastic takeaway? Well number one, can it now be said the developers not only use new math when it comes to things like height of structures and parking but also power and water? We’re currently in a drought and we’ve experienced a lot of drought situations the past couple of years so if Aqua couldn’t provide the water circa 2024 how is it they magically can supply the water now?

Oh and good ol’ Willistown Charlie? Spewing again on LinkedIn and maybe he needs to get off of his phone?
