prayers for chester county residents after last night’s storm

Above is from someone I know. Summit Road in Malvern, which is off King Road in East Whiteland Township, Chester County.

Reports are of extremely heavy storm damage. Thank God no fatalities and thank God for amazing first responders.

Trees and poles down everywhere. Roads blocked. Unsure if a tornado was declared, but awful straight line winds at a minimum.

Someone wrote to me:

” There won’t be power up there 100% for days and some houses you can’t even get to. Tanglewood Lane can’t even be accessed due to multiple trees, piles and transformers down on Summit blocking access from both sides so those folks can’t get in or out and have no power.”

And yes a couple folks have sent me photos.

Another person also said this morning that Route 352 is closed from just past Summit to the entrance road for Immaculata.  I feel for these people because this was us after the ice storm of 2014. I will never forget the sound of thousands of pounds of giant beech tree when it came sailing into our home.

Of course the craziest thing for me is I slept right through the worst of this storm. And I am not a heavy sleeper and usually storms keep me awake. My next door neighbor said the sky kept lighting up with lightening and the transformers that were blowing up.

Be safe today. Prayers up for all of these families affected by last night’s crazy storm.  I have been told that there are truly devestating losses. I haver been told at least a couple of people probably have total losses. Photos are reader/resident submitted.
