Come on. The signs are up. Ticketing is happening and yet there is this. COME ON BRICKETTE! I have been harassed on Facebook for writing about this but tell me, is this OK that these patrons literally don’t give a damn?
The photos received tonight are 100 and Kirkland. They came with a message:
Worse it’s been yet!
Called twice and they said they have received numerous calls.
Can’t see either way, and you have to be fully in the lane of traffic to even see.
Seriously, what does it take? I mean we all know what it will take and that’s a terrible accident that might result in not only injury but worse.
No one wants that.
This is unacceptable. The Brickette took away parking for the patio and smoker area. They need satellite parking and perhaps a shuttle. Either that, or they are over their stated occupancy because of all the parking issues but no one has ever said one way or the other what the occupancy was versus the number of parking spaces with prior owners and new owners.
And I will state for the record once again that because I point out these issues with the parking it doesn’t mean that I don’t think the Brickette should be there. And the neighbors are not saying that either.
But West Whiteland is baby sitting bar patrons. Neighbors are not being treated well. This is a problem, so Brickette are you going to step up or be put in the category of nuisance bar?
Shaking my head on this one.

Has anyone called Police on this issue? If the roads are marked “no parking” and people are still parking there, they should be ticketed. And on a regular basis.
OK…so looking at an unfortunate future where one care speeding up the road and a patron in a car is inching its way out of the Brickette parking lot. The front of the car, just the hood of the car is now past the the large truck, or supersize SUV, The driver still cannot see what’s coming down the road on the left. Two more inches and the truck on the left crushes the front of the car and seriously injures the driver. (that’s being polite).
Will the truck driver be charged for speeding, etc? Maybe not. The truck driver, with a couple 20’s in the palm of his hand, shakes hands with the police officer. Is it the Brickette customer just leaving the parking lot but couldn’t see what was coming down the road? Maybe. Police may say the driver was quite drunk and shouldn’t be driving.
Whose responsibility is it to make sure the patrons of Brickette have a clear view of the road? Did the police request no parking signs be up on both sides of the property? Oh. Brickette owner did put up no parking signs. OK Why didn’t the Brickette owner warn customers that the police will be coming around to ticket those parking in a no parking area? Oh. The police would never come by?.. Why not??
Did the Brickette owner shake hands with the local police?
…oh..
Do NOT imply or state something negative about the police – unwarranted and unjustified.
The police are ticketing and West Whiteland has no parking posted on Kirkland and the state signs are coming.
West Whiteland is doing what they can and frankly the company that owns the Brickette could do some satellite parking arrangements. They are making money hand over fist with this place and their bars in the borough of West Chester.
So sorry about that. I was thinking back …what happened to me twice. In CT and in MA. The drivers in each case, caused the accident and both were speeding. Both men shook the policemen’s hands. The police ignored the long tire marks on the road.
And the police here ARE very nice, always helpful, polite.
No, that’s fine. I just don’t want to be unfair to West Whiteland police. However, what is interesting to note is that not all of the side streets back there are in West Whiteland some of them are in West Goshen. And West Goshen has done nothing
Perhaps they should not only ticket but also tow! This situation is totally unacceptable.
Why is this the Brickette’s fault? The people that park there illegally are responsible. Ticket and tow them.
The bar and the company that owns the bar has responsibility to the area in which they are located and they don’t go out of their way to try to mitigate the circumstances. That is why I hold them accountable
Is this a legal responsibility or a “carla believes” responsibility?
OK Captain Douche Bag, if you are truly a barfly and you seem like you are you know that when problems like this persist and establishment will get the reputation of a nuisance bar. So I don’t know in the end what will happen. And the problems with the parking begs the persistent question of are they over occupancy, and that could be a legal issue. Now that you’ve had your fun and left your comments, I’m just going to block you.
What would you like the owners of the Brickette to do? The signs are up, the tickets are being written and yet people are still parking there. Do you think they’re going to park at a remote lot and take a shuttle if they’re already willing to disobey signs and receive a ticket? Give it time. If the police are regularly writing tickets, the parking problem will slowly go away. If the police sit in the lot of the saddlery shop across the street and shoo people away as they try to park, word will get out.
When you use your real email address it’s pretty easy to find out who you are. I’ve already answered this question. So if you were just sent here by the owners of this bar to harass me, you’re wasting your time.
