Well we broke up with A.J. Blosenski almost a month ago and they FINALLY picked up the cans yesterday…after the regular A.J. Blosenski trash truck emptied a can that had been empty for a month so I hope they don’t try to charge us for it since we are no longer customers.
However, they have NOT refunded us for charging us the next chunk of service the same day we cancelled service. Nor have we received a refund on the many missed pick ups.
My neighborhood had a partially missed pickup again this week. So did a lot of areas. It’s like they just decided not to pick up.
East Whiteland Township actually recently cited A.J Blosenski for all the issues that their residents have experienced. Some Willistown residents have remarked that they wish their township would be equally proactive.

Meanwhile over in West Vincent it must be noted that Whitetail Disposal had their soliciting permits REVOKED. For aggressive soliciting. And they have been very aggressive. In a lot of communities in Chester County again.

And Whitetail has a history of issues as well.

So I guess the more our county and region gets overpopulated the worse the trash pick up will be.
That is the trash talk update for the week. I will end by stating no issues with Opdenaker at all so far. Everything that we are paying for is happening and the customer service is actual customer service. i’m including their website in case anyone is interested in checking them out. They might not service all areas at this point but at least they are honest about the work they can actually do and can’t do depending upon the area.
I have no words for Blosenski ‼️
Their excuses are abominable.
My neighborhood and adjacent one have had horrid trash pick up .
What is most confusing and puzzling is WHY ‼️⁉️
And you ask …..
Well the trash truck comes and picks up one street in the ENTIRE neighborhood or picks up on a section of a road. The following week IF they show up and that’s a big if they might do a different street
I am not buying the excuse that they don’t have the help. The trucks are on the streets in our neighborhood.
At times we have three or more missed cycles.
We switched to Opdenaker
Finally Blosenski picked up their cans after repeatedly giving us dates to put them out and then no show.
It’s like they are playing darts and wherever the dart lands is the lucky street
In many, perhaps all jurisdictions Blosenski operates, it is a party to a franchise agreement. The fact that individuals can contract w/ a private carrier in the first place is actually something that must first be sanctioned by the governing authority. The very thing White Tail got stung by is the very thing Blosenski is subject to. It seems to me that it is every muni’s job/responsibility to not intervene..but to exercise its rights under such agreements it is a party to. So far, I think local governments, Tredyffrin being one, is essentially leaving it to the public to #fifo; like general code enforcement. 7-0 R, 7-0 D; not much difference from my perch. And I’ve been in that perch too… 😉 Muni’s need to stop sitting on their hands and start doing the things they were elected to do, without fear or favor and principles before personalities. It isn’t all that difficult..
