Happy Memorial Weekend Everyone!For those of you who will be sticking around this weekend the barn will be open Fri, Sat, and Sun from 10-4. We have new items since last week including a vintage baking hoosier cabinet, large hutch, and server, in addition to a variety of other exciting and new items!! seriously? we can’t honor an honor bar?
Saw this when I went to Sugartown Strawberries. Apparently new for 2012 is a few folks *forgetting* the honor in honor bar…to steal from a farmer who gives so much back to his community is the lowest of the low.
Enough said.

Like fresh, organic strawberries in spring? Asparagus? Veggies throughout the summer and pumpkins in the fall? Special farm to table events and hay rides? Pick your own? Simple pleasures? Honey from local hives?
Then Sugartown Strawberries is definite place for you to check out. I love it! (It was one of the first farms I discovered as I transitioned into Chester County.)
Sugartown Strawberries has critters to watch too – fabulous bird watching and the farm is home to two lovable big dogs too!
I was over there yesterday and said hey (not hay as blasted autocorrect would like to see) to Farmer Bob and his pals, snap some photos and to buy some strawberries and asparagus.
And trust me, his strawberries and asparagus are awesome this year. They have a Facebook page to LIKE and a website . Take yourself, take your kids, take your friends.
Eat and buy local. Support your local Chester County farmers. You don’t get anymore green or sustainable than that!

I have been noticing signs going up all over for garage sales this coming weekend – a lot of neighborhood garage sales. I have seen signs on North Chester, Green Hill, Boot, Paoli Pike, just to name a few.
