I do not usually post fashion and jewelry, but this traveling boutique is well worth checking out. This is not some direct marketing business, this is a traveling trunk show of unique and timeless and beautiful things. The owner is a dear friend and I am also a customer.
Without further ado, Bryn Mawr Hospital is once again featuring Alice Woods, owner of A Single Strand from Connecticut, on the Main Line for a very special one day spring boutique in their hospital lobby.
The show is this Thursday March 17th, 2016 and is in the front lobby of the Bryn Mawr Hospital from 9 am to 4 pm and it will feature sterling silver jewelry, 18 karat gold plated jewelry, costume jewelry hair accessories, scarves, wraps, ponchos, and gift items.
Inspired by her mother’s classic style, as a young girl, Alice, the owner of A Single Strand, spent hours making dresses for her dolls. Her grandmother’s trunks were full of her elegant clothes from the 1920s and 1930s and they enthralled her.
The concept of fashion as a reflection of society stayed with her.
