Regarding Igor the original escapee. I have to ask, why haven’t y’all mentioned his attempted escape in 2019? Yes, I found a docket from 2019 with an escape charge. Not just 2023.
So, what is this ? New math? Human error? Honest mistake? I can’t read?
Why can’t I find any coverage of the 2019 escape charge? It certainly begs the question of HOW MANY escapes attempted or otherwise have occurred from Chester County Prison? Has anyone asked the newly retired warden and perhaps his predecessors depending upon who is alive?
This is just insanity. WTF is going on in Chester County? You actually can’t blame District Attorney Deb Ryan because she took office in 2020. It was the 2019 election cycle that flipped the county to Democrat control, which means that there is plenty of blame to go around potentially politically.
So here we are on day 8 of the Brazilian version of Wile E Coyote on the loose. Who knew he would also expose the crazy underbelly of the prison too? Many thanks to one of my readers for the tip to check the court dockets on Igor.
I won’t hold my breath on substantive answers here. I am sure the AG will have y’all locked up tighter than a virgin on prom night.
John Cleare said he and his wife saw Igor Bolte walk through their property on May 19 after he fled from the Chester County Prison. Danelo Cavalcante used the same method as Bolte to escape last week.
So Danelo Cavalcante, a convicted murderer, is STILL on the loose. Nerves are frayed, everyone is on edge.
I think they need bloodhounds to catch the scent, I have seen only shepherds.
I have friends in the area. One sent me this picture taken near Longwood this afternoon:
I was astounded by the presser today. WHY was Danelo Cavalcante with everyone in an exercise yard with no guards IN the yard, and one lone person in some other security post who didn’t see him crab walk up a wall and slither out the way ANOTHER prisoner escaped in MAY. Oh and THAT prisoner is STILL in Chester County Prison. Don’t these people think prisoners communicate with one and other???
There are so many on the prison board who need to answer questions IMHO. How grossly understaffed, underpaid, and overworked are the people who work there? Is it as bad as the sheriff’s office?
Why wasn’t a convicted murderer waiting for state prison kept somewhere more secure?
If someone escaped recently from that exercise yard why was that yard open with no guards near where the prior escape occurred as a deterrent?
What exactly happened during the tenure of the recently departed warden and HIS predecessor?
Why is the current PA Attorney General seeming to control all of these matters in Chester County including flow of information? Why do we as Chester County residents hear about what the Attorney General is doing but we as residents aren’t hearing from AG Michelle Henry ?
People are not resting comfortably in their own homes all over the area.
Here’s hoping he’s caught soon.
Here’s hoping ALL Chester County officials involved with this prison debacle are held accountable no matter what their position or role in the county.
All we have are questions and no answers and a murderer literally on the loose.
The literal world has been focused on this Chester County manhunt. Everyone has been watching the attempts to apprehend convicted murderer Danelo Cavalcante since his escape from Chester County Prison LAST Thursday.
So now they think he’s near Longwood Gardens? Kennett? Chadds Ford?
This morning
I made a comment about people being really sick of this and somebody came back to me with a knee-jerk reaction that I need to cut lawn enforcement a break, that it’s tough terrain out there where they’re searching.
Ummm I’m not being mean or disrespectful or anything to law enforcement. I am merely showing people what I’m seeing. This has been a slog for everyone and particularly scary for residents around the prison and now Longwood Gardens, Kennett, etc. That’s not taking a dig at law enforcement. But hey at least we know the regular old knee-jerk reactions are still mingled in with everything that people in Chester County are feeling right now because a convicted murderer essentially walked away from Chester County Prison.
Then, early this morning if you check the police calls, there were sightings near some lot on Longwood Gardens property. The calls are below from Open MHZ.
Also, in this post are two excerpts from the presser did yesterday by the DA and law enforcement. Deb Ryan sounds angry, tired, and defensive. I guess on one hand I can’t blame her at all because of the questions getting lobbed at her, but on the other hand people are upset that this guy got out of the prison. Deb Ryan didn’t cause him to get out of the prison, and I know they can’t say anything while they’re investigating how these people have been escaping and who’s fault it is, but don’t chide the public.
The other reality I feel sadly is this whole scene is going to play out in the elections this fall as well. How can it not? And it could have a direct impact on those County row people either seeking higher office or maintaining their current office. Now, of course, that has been a very unpopular thing for me to verbalize but it’s kind of just there and I put words to it.
And then there are the people who have to criticize me for sharing live feed I found on Twitter last night from some guy who, yeah, has a past, but last night all he was doing was relaying information, and I found it interesting. I also found it interesting that he had some source inside one of those neighborhoods that the police were doing like the big searches on and it was this kid who was Facebook-living with him I think until other neighbors got upset.
Whatever this guy did in his past, he’s been playing it pretty straight with this and if he’s got cops that are willing to talk to him? He’s not the oracle, no, but listening to it was interesting and even more importantly, he gave the very accurate feel of what it was like being on scene.
A friend of mine said on social media, and I don’t necessarily disagree:
So apparently the escaped murderer is not within the 2 mile radius they had him trapped in. He’s now, or as of last night at 10:30, sight seeing at Longwood Gardens. Um, folks, what are we doing? Dude got himself a backpack and a change of clothes. How exactly does that happen? What are the chances of robbing a man who is also 5’2” and weighs 120 pounds? Seems like someone is helping him. Wonder what is next on his sight seeing tour through Chester County?
I still don’t understand how prison didn’t have a convicted murderer, waiting to go to a state prison, better secured. And I do think the public deserves answers to those questions sooner rather than later.
And then they’re all the other rumors that have been floating around about that prison often on for a couple of years. I am guessing like many other institutions like that, they have problems, but now they have to pay the piper and answer questions. And I would start with the warden who magically got placed on administrative leave two days before this happened and then after this happened resigned so is he falling on his sword? Is he covering for other people? I think the people of Chester County have a right to know.
I think there is a lot of shady crap going on in this county, and I don’t know that it’s necessarily a good thing or just a portent of things to come. And I think both political parties are to blame here. And given the fact that the Democrats are in charge, this would make me question any law-enforcement related elections this fall. Essentially any law enforcement related candidate backed by the current head of the Democratic Party of Chester County would be suspect to me right now.
We are a country that was historically designed on a two-party system. We need balance, and we don’t have balance. All we have are extremes in politics, and it’s not working.
These are just things I’m thinking about. No one has to act or vote or any other goddamn thing because I said so. But I think it would behoove people to become more educated about all political candidates on any level of government.
Now, if this Danelo Cavalcante makes it to Delaware, northern Delaware has a lot of marshes. Southern Delaware has a lot of open land. I honestly go back-and-forth on whether he has had assistance or not, but I can’t help but wonder. Except he is desperate enough that he could be doing all of this on his own. I don’t think he knows the terrain, so I hope eventually this will catch up with him.
I will also say this escaped prisoner has provided interesting Internet sociological studies. These are the situations that show the best and worst of human nature. I will keep sharing things as the spirit moves me because that’s the way I roll. If you don’t like what I’m writing about move on. But some of you need to learn how to be grown-ups.
If you see this guy call. There is a hotline set up that number is: 717-562-2987

So how does a murderer walk away from Chester County Prison? And what’s going on there with replace-a-warden-on-leave? Why was original warden placed on leave?
Ok so recently it was “warden on leave” now it’s “warden resigned” and as the article above says, it’s somewhat shrouded in mystery and why?
Howard Holland is now the interim or acting warden. Can’t imagine just being appointed and this happens, right? But if this murderer was planning an escape, would it have been in the works for a long time? Warden/Chief Holland has a long career in law enforcement and I think timing is everything, and he came in obviously because there were problems, and well is this escape part of the problems that need fixing? I mean didn’t they say this Cavalcante has been in this prison for a couple of years? I feel for this guy, because he gets to clean up the mess that obviously his predecessor left behind, right?
Investigators are still searching for Danelo Cavalcante, a convicted murderer, who escaped from the prison early Thursday.

This Cavalcante would have probably have had to make his move before being transferred to a state prison, right? How many prisoners have escaped from Chester County Prison? Anyway, if you see him, or you think you see him…call 911!!
