#whereisanna #missing #5years (anna maciejewska, we have not forgotten you.)

Posted on July 20, 2022 by carla

We haven’t talked about Anna Maciejewska in a while have we?

While most of us never knew her, we came to feel as if we did know her because she was a member of our community and a mother to a beautiful little boy who will forever miss having her in his life.

It’s like law enforcement (Pennsylvania State Police) and the Chester County District Attorney’s office just gave up on her or forgot her, didn’t they? And yes, I realize they’ve had a lot of stuff going on these past few years. But Anna still matters to people. And the community at large and her family, especially her little boy (who will never really know her other than a lady in a photograph) and family from Poland deserve answers and closure.

She’s missing /presumed dead/murdered 5 years as of this past April, 2022.

I don’t want to say our justice system and law enforcement has failed her, but have they?

The media hasn’t covered her in forever. Dateline NBC must not think she is newsworthy enough and she is quite LITERALLY “Missing in America”. There is a show on Hulu called Missing. Well producers, Anna is “Missing” and has been for 7 years. Unsolved Mysteries? Hey now producers of that show, Anna IS an “Unsolved Mystery”.

There is nothing more to add. Anna Maciejewska Gould is still #missing.

where’s anna maciewjewska gould?

Posted on August 23, 2021 by carla

It has been a long time since Anna Maciejewska disappeared. That was April, 2017. I write about her from time to time as my readers know. I last wrote about her this past April.

I know nothing new, she just happened to randomly popped into my head today. I was looking at some thing that CBS3 Philadelphia does called CBS3 Mysteries. It made me realize while local media is continuing to cover other long term missing persons, Anna once again seems forgotten.

In a local community group, someone else was thinking about her too at the end of July and said in part:

📌📌Anna Maciejewska (wife of Allen Gould) is still missing.

If anyone has any about what happened or suggestions on where to look if foul play happened, please contact the Pennsylvania State Police at 610-486-6280.
A reward of $30K is available.

Anna moved to Malvern (Charlestown township area) from Poland, got married, and had one child. She was employed in the area, and disappeared one day. Her family in Poland is heartbroken over her disappearance. She was first reported missing on 4/12/17 and last seen on 4/10/17. It’s likely she was missing ~2 weeks before this….I don’t want her to be forgotten because her family isn’t here to advocate for her.

#JusticeForAnna

Someone did another Anna video a few months ago. I don’t know the person and have not seen the video all the way through. But here is the link: https://youtu.be/yoifDpC_yXE

Obviously Anna is still on all of our minds, still. I wonder what she would think of COVID-19 and the lives we have all led since it entered our world?

I wonder how her little boy is? He’s getting bigger and if he still has memories of Anna, they are fading for sure, aren’t they?

I wonder how Anna’s parents are in Poland and her family there? COVID-19 meant they couldn’t come here and look for her anymore, and I don’t even know how much of that would’ve been possible given the health challenges that have been reported about her poor parents.

And then there is her husband. I kind of dance around the subject of Allen Gould because he’s never been charged has he? He’s still just a person of interest isn’t he? How can he live his state of limbo?

Well that’s it. I just randomly thought of a woman from our own extended community that most of us, myself included, never knew or met. But what happened to her could happen to any of us and anyone we know.

I think part of the reason why I thought of her is as I have said before, I have female friends who were born in Poland. Two of them still have family in Poland. This summer was the first time since before COVID-19 took over our lives that they were able to take their children to Poland to see their family, to see their grandparents.

Local, regional, and national media. There are so many shows that could cover her and this case. I wish they would.

Anyway, Anna we still think of you and pray and hope you will be found. You matter, Anna Maciejewska.

anna maciejewska we haven’t forgotten you

I have been writing about Anna Maciejewska for what? Over three years at this point? I was thinking about her again recently as I was watching some crime solving mystery show hosted by Paula Zahn on Discovery ID. Then I stumbled across this random You Tube by someone unknown.

There hasn’t been any media coverage since December, 2019 when 6 ABC ran this:

This report was done as Mike Noone and Tom Hogan were winding up their time in the Chester County District Attorney’s Office. I know Mike a little bit and I can tell you this case always weighed on him and Tom Hogan. People love to be hard on these offices but this investigation is also the responsibility of the Pennsylvania State Police. When is the last time we heard from them? Is the case still active or is it just gathering dust as the proverbial unsolved mystery on a shelf in a storage room somewhere?

Sorry not sorry, it bothers me. It always has. You watch news report after news report of other missing women. You see their cases worked on and resolved, why not Anna Maciejewska? Why doesn’t she matter?

I would love to ask current Chester County District Attorney Deb Ryan for an update but don’t know how to do it. I also don’t want to sound like a bitch dogging law enforcement and the district attorney, but lordy people, is there any news? I know ongoing investigations mean folks in the know are tight lipped, but I think of Anna’s elderly parents and in the COVID19 world in which we live and they live many thousands of miles away. When is the last time they saw their beloved grandson? He must be so big now, right? It makes you wonder if he has any memories of his beloved mother and if his father keeps her memory alive? Allen Gould, the perpetual puzzle. Anna’s presumed widower at this point and he has never really spoken of her has he?

Unsolved Mysteries has had a reboot on NetFlix. You can write to them and suggest a story for them to cover. What about Finding Anna Maciejewska? Seriously CLICK HERE TO SUBMIT TIPS.

And then there is Dateline NBC, 48 Hours on CBS and 20/20 on ABC. Can we get ANY of these people interested?

I just think that is what it is going to take to get this moving again. National media coverage. Other missing women get it, why NOT Anna Maciejewska?

Crimestoppers PA still has a page up about Anna. The Finding Anna Facebook page is still up. And everything is kind of frozen in time. Waiting for justice for Anna Maciejewska Gould.

Please contact the Chester County District Attorney’s office, the Pennsylvania State Police and any media outlet you can think of especially on a national level. It is way past time to bring Anna home and provide her family with closure.

I never knew Anna. But I have three women who are friends of mine who are from Poland. Like Anna, highly educated. Like Anna, they emigrated to the US for a better life. But unlike Anna, they are still alive and I am so lucky to have them in my life.

Anna we haven’t forgotten you. Even if we never met you. We want you to come home for your family. For your memory. For your son. That little boy deserves more than a question mark next to your name as he grows up.

unsolved: where is anna maciejewska?

Posted on September 27, 2019 by carla

I saw this on a telephone pole in Malvern Borough in July. Anna Maciejewska has been missing since April, 2017.

I get the wheels of justice move slowly but come on now? Isn’t there anything? Recently I’ve watched news programs like Dateline NBC and ABC’s 20/20 do programs on missing women. One is a mother from a wealthy Connecticut suburb named Jennifer Dulos. Here’s an article from earlier this month:

New York Magazine: The Cut: What Happened to Jennifer Dulos, the Missing Connecticut Mom?

By Amanda Arnold

On May 24, Jennifer Dulos of New Canaan, Connecticut, mysteriously vanished after suffering what investigators believe was a “serious physical assault.” Since her disappearance, police have discovered her abandoned car, bloodstained clothes, and video footage that points toward two suspects: Dulos’s estranged husband and his girlfriend, Michelle Troconis

Yup another mom. Abandoned car. Loved by friends and family, no one believes she would leave her children. But at least this missing woman’s mother has custody of her children so she can see them.

Photo courtesy of Finding Anna Facebook page.

So why isn’t anyone writing about Anna? Or putting her on Dateline or 20/20? Why is it it seems like the wheels of justice have just completely stopped?

I fully understand that at times the wheels of justice can be really slow, but does anyone out there still care about the missing mom from Malvern, Pennsylvania? I think people do care including people in law-enforcement that I am sure have put in thousands of hours of manpower by this point, but it’s been along time since we had an update hasn’t it?

I will be honest and say that a lot of people seem to blame the District Attorney’s Office for the slowness, and I don’t necessarily believe that is fair. These cases move slowly and there is also the Pennsylvania State Police to be taken into consideration isn’t there? And I’m not going to point fingers at either institution, but I think they need to update us to at least let us know that they’re still working on it. I also think they need to shop this to national television news magazines like Dareline NBC or ABC’s 20/20.

I never knew Anna. But last night as messed up as it sounds I had a dream where I was standing with a friend on the edge of some woods somewhere watching people with bloodhounds.

It was one of those crazy dreams where you could feel the mist in the air and cooler night time temperatures and hear the beating of the dogs and the shouts of people. I think the reason I probably had the dream is because I had watched this thing on Jennifer Dulos from Connecticut.

But when I woke up I thought of a more local woman I had never met, Anna Maciejewska.

I think of my friends who still have younger children in the elementary school range who are all wound up in their crazy quilt of back to school schedules. I hear snippets of how their kids are doing and what they are doing and it makes me think of a missing woman named Anna who doesn’t get to see her little boy grow up. And her little boy is getting older, so what questions does he ask about where his mother is?

Photo courtesy of Finding Anna Facebook page.

I also have Polish friends. As in ex-pats who emigrated here and became citizens years ago. This Polish community is very tight-knit. I’m sure they all wonder what happened to Anna, even those who did not know her. My Polish friends did not know her but knew of her because they had kids that went to “Polish school” and participated in other Polish activities in the region.

Every summer two of my Polish friends take their children on extended vacations back to Poland to see their grandparents and meet their cousins and learn about where their mothers are from. I think Anna would have been doing that if she was around.

Anna Maciejewska came here for the American dream. She did everything the right way and she worked hard, and can we say what she got in the end was the American nightmare?

I think we all need updates on what is going on quite literally with finding Anna. If you have a heart beating in your chest you want to know. Her family deserves to know.

I have absolutely no idea whom you call if you know something and the screenshot above has a phone number 610-486-6280.

Anna, we have not forgotten about you. And truthfully, we never will. We want justice served all we’re asking for as residents of Chester County is a law-enforcement update and some media attention to this so this case can be solved.

If you know anything please contact police, as in the state police, and the Chester County District Attorney’s office.

Hang on Angel Anna, we are thinking of you and praying.

they found anna maciejewska’s car, but where is anna?

Posted on May 16, 2017 by carla

I woke up thinking about a woman I have never ever met and a little boy whom I have also never met but I imagine is so missing his mommy right now.  I woke up thinking about Anna Maciejewska, again.  I thought about her on Mother’s Day too.

I wrote about Anna on May 7th. A few days later (May 10th or 11th) I started hearing what a lot of folks had heard: that they had found her car in a neighboring development – Charlestown Meadows.  (People had reported some sort of police helicopter etc one day last week.)

Yesterday The Daily Local published an article that the police had indeed found her car:
Update: Pennsylvania State Police continue search for missing woman after discovering her car

By Ginger Dunbar, Daily Local News

POSTED: 05/15/17, 7:11 PM EDT

CHARLESTOWN >> Pennsylvania State Police are continuing to search for a missing woman after finding her car.

State police, Embreeville barracks announced on Monday that they located a dark blue 2011 Audi A4 with the license plate HTF2919 belonging to Anna Bronislawa Maciejewska, 43, of Charlestown. She was last seen leaving her Charlestown Township home on Hedgerow Lane for work around 9:45 a.m. on Monday, April 10. Maciejewska did not show up for work at Voya Financial that Monday or Tuesday, according to state police.

State police found her vehicle at Charlestown Meadows overflow parking lot on May 8. Following the recovery of her car, Embreeville Station requested search dogs and the help of the state police Cadets in Hershey who were bused in to perform a grid search of the woods and neighborhoods surrounding Charlestown Meadows.

“To date we still have not located Anna Maciejewska and continue to investigate the case as a missing person,” state police said in a news release.

(I looked for the press release on the Pennsylvania State Police website but could not find it.)

So if they found her car but not her, that seems truly nefarious does it not? Does anyone think she would take off and leave her precious child behind? I don’t know her, but I don’t believe she would.

I was talking to a friend today who said she hoped this didn’t turn into another Susan Reinert case. Susan was the Upper Merion teacher who lived in Ardmore PA who disappeared in the 1970s.  Her body was found in 1979, but her children, to this day have never been found.  Another friend said they hoped it did not end up like the Danielle Imbo and Richard Petrone case, who 12 years later still seemed as if they vanished into thin air.

This saddens me.  For each day that goes by, people seem to wonder if poor Anna Maciejewska is still alive? It has been over a month, so who knows? I hope so, I truly do. Her son deserves his mama.

I have a few female friends who emigrated to the US from Poland. They have been generous in sharing their customs and traditions with me over the years.  They introduced me to Kruschiki (a kind of cookie which I have been given at Christmas and Easter), and one friend every year sends me the oplatek at Christmas (a small unleavened wafer similar to communion if you are Catholic) which is broken at Christmas on Christmas Eve before dinner “Wigilia” – family members break a little piece off and pass it around with good wishes)

I have spoken to one of my Polish friends more than once about this since we all learned of the disappearance of Anna.  She tells me that the Polish community is tight.  Philadelphia, Bucks County, and even Allentown are active communities.  I do not know if she (Anna) was active in any of those communities or not.  My friend says that the Polish community has been buzzing about this, but I don’t really know if Anna was part of it.  It’s a wonderful community with Polish schools for the little ones to learn the culture of their parents, festivals, and so on. I also know that all of my Polish friends are close to family still in Poland.  Two of my friends travel with their children every summer for visits with family.

A Polish newspaper (Polish Daily News)  printed a story on Mother’s day about Anna.

Opublikowano: Niedziela 14 maja 2017

Rodzina i przyjaciele proszą o pomoc w znalezieniu Ani (“Family and friends are asking for help to find Anna”)

Autor: AS
Rodzina i przyjaciele poszukują 43-letniej Ani Maciejewskiej z powiatu Chester w Pensylwanii.

The Finding Anna Maciejewska page on Facebook posted a photo of Anna’s mom

If anyone knows anything, please, please help this family.  They need to find their beloved Anna. They are half a world away, I can’t even imagine the anguish.

Another Polish newspaper Super Express printed a story – a friend of mine provided the English translation from where it was posted:

“Here’s a translation of article from today’s Polish newspaper with more information:

‘Where are you Anna? Search for missing Polish woman from Pennsylvania continues.
Anna Bronislawa Maciejewska (43) from Malvern in Chester County PA was last seen leaving for work on April 10, 2017. She did not return home since…We will disclose new information on this story. Reporters from “Super Express” interviewed Anna’s mother, Janina, who lives in Warsaw, Poland. We would like to remind everyone, based on Associated Press, investigators determined that Anna Bronislawa Maciejewska left her home on Hedgerow Lane on April 10th at about 9:45am. She was in a hurry, however she never made it to work at Voya Financial. Anna Maciejewska did not return home either. She left her house in a navy blue Audi A4, 2011 model with Pennsylvania license plate HTF2919. The last person to see Anna was her husband Allan. He told investigators that she left for work in a “panic” and was rushing to attend a work related meeting. She did not take her cell phone with her.Anna’s co-workers say that no important meeting was held that morning, only a daily 15-minute meeting, which she was able to miss. We determined that her last day at work was March 26 and she was last seen in public in a restaurant having dinner with her husband and 4 year old son on April 2.-Anna together with her son planned a trip to Poland for her father’s 80th birthday, which were on March 30. Three days earlier on March 27th she called us with this information that she will arrive in Poland in four days. On March 28th she sent a text message which said: “Mommy, something came up at work and we will arrive on Thursday, but we will stay the weekend (returning on Monday). Kisses, Anna” and in the evening she called and stated the same. I suggested that we postpone the birthday celebrations until Easter. She said she will discuss this in the evening with her husband, Allan. On Wednesday March 29th we were not in contact with Anna the whole day and only when we sent a text message with a question if she is coming to Poland, she replied with “I’m sorry I cannot come, kisses Anna” – said Janina, Anna’s mother. She added that on March 30th, on her father’s birthday, Anna didn’t call him with birthday wishes but sent a text message. Her father was very disappointed and offended by the fact that she didn’t call. “It’s really not like her” said Janina. Her parents also add that since then none of Anna’s friends or family have spoken to her.Anna allegedly fell ill and send a text message to her work that she will take the week of April 3rd off. On April 10th she never made it in to work and she didn’t return home that evening. Her family from Poland reported her missing on April 10th to the police in Philadelphia PA.On the day she went missing Anna didn’t have her passport with her, but she probably had her wallet. On April 8th Anna’s mother spoke with her husband Allan, who told her to call back in two days. Anna’s friends describe her as very intelligent and likable. She lives in a beautiful house, which she designed herself. She is a valued and well liked co-worker. Anna’s mother, Janina, believes that Anna would never leave her four year old son, whom she loves above all. Anna Maciejewska is from Warsaw Poland and has been living in the United States for 20 years. Trooper Brian Olszewski is investigating Anna’s missing person case. Anna’s sister hired a private detective. Official searches for Anna can be organized if there are leads in regards to her whereabouts. As of now Anna’s friend plans to hang posters within the next few days.Reporters from “Super Express” tried to contact Anna’s husband Allan and Trooper Olszewski for comments, but have not heard back from either party (as of Thursday night). ‘

Finally, here is an excerpt of a story posted by Dateline NBC yesterday afternoon for their Missing in America segment:

Suspicious Disappearance of Pennsylvania Mother Anna Maciejewska Alarms Family and Friends

by RACHAEL TROST

Anna Maciejewska was always in touch.

Anna Maciejewska Finding Anna Maciejewska

Originally from Poland, the 43-year-old kept in close contact with her elderly parents who still live overseas.

A respected actuary, she is consistent and communicative at work, according to co-workers.

And as the mother of a four-year-old son, Anna appeared to be a wonderful mother who adored her little boy, family members said.

But Anna mysteriously vanished more than a month ago. And the hazy details surrounding her disappearance have shaken her family and friends.….According to police, Anna was last seen on the morning of April 10, 2017 leaving her family’s home outside Malvern, Pennsylvania…..Anna’s mother traveled to the U.S. shortly after Anna disappeared to help search for her daughter. She and Anna’s nephew Michel stayed with Anna’s husband and son for a week. But they were unable to uncover any significant leads to Anna’s whereabouts.

Anna’s mother had to head back to Poland without any answers about her daughter…..Michal told Dateline the family is concerned because they learned Anna had recently been suffering from depression. “We didn’t know how bad it was, so of course that is alarming to us,” he said.….”She’s a daughter, a mother, a friend,” Michal told Dateline. “We just need someone to help.”

She’s a daughter, a mother, a friend. Truer words have never been spoken.  I don’t know her, but this could be any woman any of us might know.  This is a cruel twist of fate we just can’t predict. But this woman, this Anna whom I do not know, deserves better than this. Anna had been living her American dream with a successful career, family, home of her own.  When and why did her American dream become an American nightmare?

One last thing. The page her friends put up on Facebook Finding Anna Maciejewska has put up an event people can attend this coming Thursday May 18.  The organizer says It’s a meeting to organize a search and information.  Here is a screen shot you can see if you are not on Facebook to view the event:
