sky in paoli this afternoon

This photo comes from Chad Weldon proprietor of The Master’s Baker in West Chester.
This is the QVC West Chester Christmas Parade and isn’t this FABULOUS!
This 2014 photo comes from my high school friend Lee Ann Embrey. She is also one of the best photographers in Chester County.
The photo came with an attached message:
This is one of my favorite photos (in the recent past) of the West Chester Christmas parade. Feel free to use on your blog / great idea! It is one of my favorite Chester County traditions to attend around the holidays.

The farmhouse owned by Clews and Strawbridge in Malvern, East Whiteland Chester County. They must be immune to how sad this once marvelous Chester County Farmhouse looks, huh?
How about an adaptive reuse?
Or some day will it just cease to exist?

Just a couple of photos now… there will be more later…
It was a fabulous day but the poor twisty country roads were no match for some of the “tourists” from other areas. The driving on some of the roads was a bit insane, complete with beeping like it was Broad and Shunk or something.

There she sits like a ghost on Bacton Hill Road in Frazer, East Whiteland Township. I I have photographed her in varying stages of decay over the past few years.
Her end is near, she lived a hard life, not sure it was a good life or not.
It is a crying shame no one loved her enough to keep her. She will be bulldozed soon to make way for McMansions. Because we all need more McMansions in Chester County, apparently.
Pennsylvania is a private property rights state, and it is just pathetic that the commonwealth isn’t a little more preservation minded.
