yo penndot time to fix the potholes on 30 bypass in caln.

Irish Eyez ChesCo is reporting more pothole / sinkhole hell on the 30 Bypass.

This has been going on for weeks.

This has even been on the news.

So I don’t know what it’s gonna take to get PennDOT to actually do something but they can’t wait anymore. And I have to wonder about liability given how many people have reported the holes and road issues and they haven’t been fixed properly yet?

PennDOT really needs to get moving somebody could die here.

It’s another hot PennDOT mess.

isn’t it wonderful lower merion is a “first class” township?

I was in Ardmore again for the first time in a very long time. There are lots of dining options and other things to look at, but the streets are broken and filthy.

The roadways themselves are broken and rutted and it’s hard to imagine a township with so much money and bravado can’t seem to see the ruts and potholes.

So here I was back in Ardmore, where the actual township building is located, in the Historic Ardmore Business District with a business improvement improvement district called the Ardmore Initiative and let’s talk about the god damn sidewalks in what they like to call “the Main Street” of the Main Line. They are deplorable and dangerous. But hey, they can keep deluding themselves, right?

The sidewalks are badly broken in too many places, so I wonder if this is an odd metaphor for the state of Lower Merion Township itself? And it’s February so why are the holiday snowflakes still up?

Many years ago many of us fought to save the Historic Ardmore Business District. I am not sure what we saved Ardmore for. It’s so wrong.

Clean up Lower Merion, you can afford to.

west king road east whiteland

This is West King Road in East Whiteland.

Now I know this road is not unique. The roads in multiple counties around Pennsylvania  are in deplorable condition after this winter. The frost heaves alone are incredible.

But if you don’t constantly point out to PennDOT what roads are in deplorable condition, nothing gets fixed. I am also putting this out so State Representive Duane Milne’s  office sees more photos. I emailed them about this recently and once again they never even acknowledged the email.

I am still finding that the communication between elected officials and regular residents out here leaves a little to be desired at times. I also informed State Senator Andy Dinniman’s office.

Both the honorable State Representive and State Senator should be glad I am not writing a dissertation on the deplorable conditions of Route 100 and the constant PennDOT construction project there. That road is dangerous and treacherous at this point in places.

If you know of roads that are in really bad shape and Chester County feel free to post photos and comments on the Chester County Ramblings Facebook page.
