runaway
Runaway. It’s not just a song…and I found three videos of 3 artists with the SAME song title: Bon Jovi, OneRepublic, and Galantis. It is also the theme of a candidate for PA 160 apparently. What am I talking about? Here is a snippet:
So Barry and WCHE were covering the rally this past weekend in West Chester called United Against Project 2025/Agenda 47. I think it’s important this is covered. Before I get to that a thing no one is talking about in this that really bothers me – it’s the farming thing in this:
But back to candidates who hide. Elizabeth Moro is running for PA 160. It’s a state house seat held by Craig Williams, a Republican. It’s a partially Delco seat which is why I think it has been a GOP stronghold.
Anyway, Elizabeth Moro ran for congress in 2018 and then dropped out of the race. She was if I recall correctly, originally in the 7th and then the districts were redrawn for a change (heavy sarcasm, it’s a definite PA thing around here), so then she was a candidate in the 6th and subsequently dropped out and Chrissy Houlahan became the nominee for the Democrats and is now my Congresswoman.
But I don’t understand WHY Elizabeth Moro ran from a host of a local radio show when she is seeking people’s vote this fall? Barry Dee will tell the whole tale this Friday at 11 AM on WCHE.

Now I have found Elizabeth to be a nice woman. I actually was at the Brandywine in White event at Chadds Peak Farm in 2015 when she met her husband Vince. I remember her because I truthfully loved her dress. And that was a super fun event. That farm is awesome and such a beautiful setting. We were all Facebook friends for a couple/few years after that until we weren’t. Amusingly I was dropped by them. Guess I didn’t fit “the brand.”. Macht nichts or matters not, because it really didn’t. They were nice, but when I was no longer going to their events, although I liked them, I fell off the radar. But in all fairness, how many events can you go to and then keep repeating them?
Then she and her husband Vince were involved with the fight to save Crebilly Farm. Their group was Neighbors for Crebilly . They weren’t the only group, however, and to this day a lot of the heavy lifting was done by Mindy Rhodes and Crebilly Farm Friends.
Anyway, I always thought Elizabeth Moro to be a people person, yet she RAN away from Barry? I mean it doesn’t compute: wants to be elected to state office, yet can’t speak to a host of a local radio show? That’s ridiculous and her husband Vince snapping photos essentially of the pores on Barry’s nose? (I have seen the whole video so that is why you wish to tune in to All Politics are Local on Friday at 11 AM.)
And what’s with all of the political Greta Garbos this election season? Republican AND Democrat? All of these politicians are so handled these days you can’t interact unless you are a beautiful person (and massive campaign contributor.) Yes the world has changed, but still.
Barry has been keeping track of who won’t respond. I find it appalling. I find it appalling because if any of these politicians or handlers have listened to Barry’s show, there have been zero gotcha moments. It has been a polite platform allowing Chester County voters who are just regular peeps who don’t go to rallies and fundraisers to learn about candidates…even if they are not your cup of tea.
Cocky Craig Williams the State Rep currently in the PA 160 has also been playing dodge ball with Barry. Barry is his political people and he still ignores the outreach. Which is also just rude. I am going to ask Barry for a list of the game players. They are plentiful and include Grandma Charlotte Valyo head of the Chester County Dems who has cancelled twice after agreeing, claiming vacation, yet has time to send a poorly crafted statement recently to the Daly Local. But as I told Barry, she is no great loss and a yawn of a speaker anyway. So in that case, she’s doing voters a favor.
But back to Elizabeth Moro. She has been cultivating a public image. It seems to mostly line up with who she is so what is she afraid of? She had an ad out a couple of years ago, but people want to hear her in real time and if she can’t do a simple radio interview how is she going to get ahead in her district? Here’s hoping she talks to Barry and doesn’t play pass the pump at Brandywine in White this August 25th. It’s supposedly the last one and it will be at Crebilly Farm. I am not going to attend. I like the event they do, it’s lovely, but I am just over white parties and if you do it right, it is a lot of work. And if I am going to donate to something that ultimately benefits a non-profit, I prefer that my donation be tax deductible, and they do good things but they don’t have their own non-profit. But she does own the Centreville Place Cafe & Market, which is a lovely spot especially if you are a Francophile.
And Elizabeth? Rethink WCHE. Barry doesn’t bite and in fact his father was the first Democrat elected a supervisor in Upper Uwchlan, Ramsey DiLibero. And this family donated family land to Upper Uwchlan to keep open space alive there in a sea of often bad development. So yeah, Elizabeth, that’s a little more about what Barry is about. And if you are really nice, maybe he’ll take you on a balloon ride. He owns America One and it’s a flag shaped balloon and I rode in it on an anniversary of 9/11. You can also visit him at ASC Title and Tags in Chester Springs. And how we became friends? When he worked to save Ludwigs Corner Horse Show grounds with other residents and politicians from eminent domain for private gain. So now you know about Barry other than WCHE. You won’t need to run away now…but your red patent wedges were super cute!
slezoid pimps make the world go round…
Oh lookee like a hoard of locusts or ants at a picnic, predatory realty sleazoid pimp George Beatty is back. Problem Property Pals. I abhor sleazy real estate “professionals” and they bothered me in 2021. I wrote a post about it. They swore in 2021, we would not be contacted ever again. Liars.
Again, here they are again in 2024. Same guy, same heroin rags to riches story on the internet:
https://youtu.be/Cp_B9ApZWhg?si=u65frtMcB8IlslvU
So George Beatty, I do not actually give a good god damn whom you are. You are a sleazy POS. We don’t live in a “problem property.” But I still see YOU as a problem. You take advantage of the unsuspecting in my opinion and the real reviews hidden amongst the fake reviews.
I think it’s time to complain to the state, so I will be looking into that. If you need to sell a property use a legitimate realtor with experience in your area. Not these people. These are the types who give legitimate realtors a bad name.
Sleazy is as Sleazy does.

so…. the story of 400 leopard road in berwyn has taken a twist
Yesterday I wrote about the lightening striking twice at 400 Leopard Road in Berwyn. We had watched the massive local media cover this home, a very historic home to Easttown and Berwyn beginning on May 1, 2024. Yesterday morning I received a call from a friend who lives in that area in tears about 400 Leopard Road in Berwyn again.
Guess what? It went up in flames AGAIN. July 23, 2024. Maybe once you would think was an accident, and honestly I never did, but twice? My opinion is that is not a coincidence is it?
Well….it’s now July 24, 2024 and guess what? The wife (or eventually to be ex-wife) of the couple who own the house is facing well…arson charges. It’s a twist. It’s a plot twist, but is it really unexpected?
Of course this is odd, because these were the original charges filed this morning and then mid-afternoon there was this:
Here is the docket as of 4PM, showing a bail bondsman and is she in or out of jail at this point?
So, yes, again, this is the wife. And the chatter has bene insane on social media. I am not repeating it, because who knows what is true? I think a lot of it is, but I have to ask something now about the FIRST fire on May 1: is it true that had be marked as a fire of undetermined origin? If so, does that change now? I am asking because since May 1st nothing much has been heard. Yesterday around 1 or so, the Chester County District Attorney posted a very brief statement: “The Chester County District Attorney’s Office is aware of the fire that has occurred in Easttown Township and are working with the Fire Marshal to determine how it started.”
This brings us to today. I don’t get the whole firebug thing. It’s a compulsion I suppose like shoplifting or something? But is this woman a firebug or desperately unhappy and perhaps mentally ill?
A perusal on the Internet shows she is a doctor:

Now I went to the civil dockets after the first file because I was told this was a divorce house. Prior to the first fire there was a realtor sign on the lawn:
Someone messaged me today just a little while ago:
Sugartown Road is still blocked from traffic between Lenape and Leopard Road. AND… there are people all about the house and some sort of “command station” under a blue tent there as well.
Here are a few photos from today, I will post more if I get them. One is from a local who lives near by and others are from fire companies like Radnor.

Now I could post the divorce and child custody dockets, but I am not. I have to ask though if the dates on the dockets of court related events are related to the dates of fires? One was May 1st, then the fire later that day? Then other momentous events recently? Do people think that is all coincidence? In my opinion it is NOT, which is why I question WHY the May 1st fire had undetermined origins?
https://patch.com/pennsylvania/te/crews-battle-house-fire-easttown-tuesday
Someone who once called that house home said today in a comment:
Breeze Hill was built tough to have withstood what she did to it as much as it did. Not that I have any hopes for it now… How destroyed this woman’s soul must be to have done such a thing as this.
So 6 ABC and reporter Leland Pinder and 6 ABC updated their story from yesterday, so allow me to share :
There you have it. That is a lot of the chatter I heard. Of course I want to know why a house with no electricity and wasn’t habitable had the pool opened? Will Kathryn Calmus Frankel be retroactively charged with first fire? And if she is out on bail, will she go back there again? And the ATF is now part of the investigation? Will we ever hear from the Fire Marshall? Will a lot of the neighbors stop being frosty to media, I wonder?
Sign me disgusted. This woman Kathryn Calmus Frankel put neighbors and first responders at risk. And she is a doctor to boot so what does the Hippocratic oath actually mean to her? In my opinion, perhaps a study in hypocrisy? A lot of our first responders include junior firefighters and among those ranks is my friend’s daughter whom I have known since she was in elementary school. And she destroyed a local historic asset too. That is despicable.
Now what we all will want to know is can this house be saved?
400 leopard road in berwyn (easttown) went up in flames AGAIN so does lightening strike twice?
We watched the massive local media cover this home, a very historic home to Easttown and Berwyn on May 1, 2024. This morning I received a call from a friend who lives in that area in tears about 400 Leopard Road in Berwyn again.
Guess what? It went up in flames AGAIN. Today, July 23, 2024. Maybe once you would think was an accident, and honestly I never did, but twice? My opinion is that is not a coincidence is it?
Here is the link to the video of the live stream I took Thomas Primetime Brown got GREAT video:
I don’t know if the video will remain, so make sure to pay attention to what was said before live stream went soundless.
I heard firefighters or EMTs say on the live feed “She was in the house.”
“One person taken to hospital with burns.”
I wonder if the ATF is looking at this now? One fire, accident….MAYBE. But TWO fires? Does lightening strike twice? Gut check says no.
Now if you go to public court dockets, the owners of this house are embroiled in divorce and custody issues. Is that all related?
I am sure the media is digging in and and I will sign off with links to prior two posts. Again, does lightening strike twice? I do not think so, but it is up to officials to be transparent here. This is so not normal.
a grey day with a flood of memories

I told my readers a while back that I recently lost a friend I have had since I was 11 years old. At that time I hadn’t really been sure how to talk about it and I still don’t know quite how to talk about it but I know I need to. I need to process this loss and write it out.
It has been about a month and I miss my friend Anna.
Although as middle-aged adult women, we were thousands of miles apart, we were only ever a phone call or text message away.
We’re all getting to that age where occasionally we get the calls that someone is gone and when that someone is someone who’s been in your life since you were 11 years old, where do you go in your head?
The memories are still flying at a fast and furious pace. She and I met at the Tennis Farm at Shipley in Bryn Mawr. We were Mrs. P’s worst tennis players ever but she loved us just the same.
She was the reason I went to Shipley.
And throughout the years we were still connected to each other. That’s a gift until you realize that they’re not ever going to call you again.
I realize that it was just her time on this planet was finished, and now I have another angel watching me. But still…So many memories.
I remember JDA and SDA. The Junior and Senior Dancing Assemblies, respectively. They were held at the Merion Tribute House in Merion, and for all the years that we had to go down there our parents got lost either coming or going, every single time. These were the young people special events that they sent us to in those days to learn manners, and how to interact with the opposite sex and dance, and be polite and politely social. And it was managed onsite by this harridan in a gold lamé dress with a bullet bra named Mrs. Farber. And we can’t forget her 10 pounds of Aquanet that kept her hair in place.
We used to love the breaks the bands took when we would sit in the seating areas in this gorgeous old house with our friends, David and Kurt, and put stale pretzels down the heating vents, giggling the whole time. We lost our friend David a couple of years ago to a freak hit and run accident in Florida. Oh, and did I mention these events were black tie? I think we were what in 8th grade when we started attending? Because of these dances, for a few years I felt like I had a lifetime supply of crinkly taffeta skirts.
Other memories I have are like taking the Paoli Local to Philadelphia, and going to the Rusty Scupper in Society Hill for lunch on weekends once in a while. Or Pizzeria Uno.
Or walking up Morris Avenue, (when you could still do that safely) into Bryn Mawr, and going to KatyDid and the bookstore next-door to look for Christmas presents.
Or going to the movies. We went to lots of movies. I saw every Star Wars movie with her until we became adults and every James Bond movie. And it is because of her that I experienced the Rocky Horror Picture Show at midnight at the Bryn Mawr Movie Theatre for the first time as a teenager.
The Devon Horse Show… when it was still old school Devon. We bought our first antique prints from the print lady who was there once upon a time. We hunted for treasures at the Bryn Mawr Hospital Thrift Shop booth and had Devon fudge when the carefully guarded recipe was still made properly and had lemon sticks and greasy Devon burgers.
Flash forward to mini term in Italy senior year of Shipley. The hotel they put us in when we got to Venice at the end of the trip was called the Hotel Canal. It was all hard surfaces and there was this little German kid with his parents there who is about five and the kid was the devil and his name was Damian. We got a total giggle out of that. This is of course the hotel that Anna famously sprained her ankle in because she bought really high heels at one of the bazaars I think in Florence. She wanted to wear them to dinner and stumbled. Miraculously, she did not really do anything other than a sprain. It was just a slight sprain, and nothing was broken, but you know bruised egos a teenage girl. Amusingly the hotel is still in existence and sounds like it hasn’t changed since we were there.
On this trip, the students got shoved in the lesser hotels and hostel type situations and the alumnae traveling with us got the good hotels. To this day I think our parents probably paid for the alumnae to sit in good hotels.
The best place on that trip was the Pensione Adria in Florence. And that was the place were another classmate who passed away around COVID19, who flooded the room she was staying in with people by not paying attention to where the shower was running that was in the room.
In Rome, we were in a convent, and I think it was called the Sisters of Atonement. It was right near Vatican City. And we went to a private mass which was about 100 people on Ash Wednesday that year, because my father’s Saint Joe’s Prep friend, the late Cardinal John Foley, arranged it. It was our Pope encounter, Pope John Paul II and it was pretty memorable. He was right there blessing us all with holy water. And we were pretty close to the Pope. I still remember how serene his face was. In today’s world, I don’t think we would have been allowed to get that close.
But I don’t want everything I’m writing to be sad, but I’m honestly just sad right now because I just wasn’t expecting this. Death is not kind and death is not a gentle thing and sometimes we have advanced warning that somebody’s leaving, but a lot of times we just don’t.
I had a memory again last night about one time when we were in high school, and she wanted us to go to this kid’s toga party in Bryn Mawr. She even made herself a toga out of a bedsheet, but I refused to wear a toga. It was winter and so freaking cold and I think even snowy. We went to the house we knocked on the door. The door opened and 100° heat came pouring out because it was the middle of winter along with a female underclasswoman, chasing her (we guessed) at that point ex boyfriend screaming crying (this couple was all drama all of the time) ….both attired in bed sheet togas. I looked at my friend Anna and I asked if she really wanted to go to this party and she looked at me, shook her head, and we got back in the car and left.
Then there was the Super Bowl party for the Eagles. We went to a party on Fishers Road in Bryn Mawr. A nice guy who was a neighbor of sorts to me, and we knew absolutely no one there because he and his friends went to like Archbishop Carroll, Saint Joe’s Prep, and all the Catholic schools that we didn’t know anyone at. The Eagles lost. Our first Super Bowl party was a bust. And ironically, I have gone to very few since.
And then there was the Phillies when they won the world championship in the fall of 1981. All of our friends were cutting school to go to the parade and we weren’t allowed.
Then there all the adult memories. Calling to tell me her father had died. Eulogizing her mother at their church the day of the funeral. Texting each other at Christmas when we would watch Hallmark Christmas movies and text each other about which ones we liked.
Essentially, I have almost 50 years worth of memories with this woman. I hadn’t seen her in several years at this point, but we were still connected. She was one of the first people we told after my mother and sister when my husband and I got engaged.
We have these people in our lives, and there is that saying it’s something like people are in your life for a reason, a season, or a lifetime. She was a lifetime person, and it just wasn’t enough time. A lot of you reading this, are classmates and other friends of mine who didn’t know Anna. And I am sorry that you didn’t. To those of us, who did, she will forever be our Anna banana. And we loved her.
If I hadn’t met her, there are so many of I never would have met, including my husband.
So here’s to Anna. Thanks for all of the years of friendship.
Anna Klauder Nupson, 61 of Ribera, NM died June 24, 2024 after a brief illness at home.
Anna grew up in Bryn Mawr, PA and graduated from the Shipley School in 1981. She went onto Amherst College in Amherst, MA where she graduated in 1985 with a Bachelor of Arts in American/United States Studies and Civilization.
Among the happiest years of her life were spent between Shipley and Amherst. She had a deep appreciation and reverence of American history and the theater arts. While in high school she was active in theater productions and after college she was a member of the Footlighters Theater in Berwyn, PA as well as being part of the Windsor Court Players, which was based in Narberth, PA out of Narberth Presbyterian Church and founded by a close friend and classmate from Shipley.
Anna eventually decided she wished to move to an area of the United States, for which she had a special affinity. This was the beautiful and majestic American Southwest. Anna’s mother was a native New Mexican who was born in Clovis. Anna purchased a modest ranch and settled in Ribera.
Anna embraced New Mexico with her whole heart and soul and loved the wild beauty of her adopted state. She settled into ranch life, and also loved creating a life which was also full of rescuing dogs and horses.
Anna is survived by her family and friends, who mourn the loss of a gentle soul who has gone home to God far too soon. Anna will be forever loved and missed.

Fly with the angels, Anna.
we the sheeple: democrat attack rats

Yesterday I expressed my opinion on the whole Joe Biden stepping aside and his endorsement of Kamala Harris.
And I put it on my blog’s Facebook page. Which means I have been essentially subjected to the verbal diarrhea attacks and random streams of consciousness of I don’t know how many people.
I do not mind the people that can have an actual conversation about this, but I do mind the preachy, self righteous people who have to beat you into the ground verbally in lieu of a conversation.
It’s pretty simple: I don’t think she can win. She really didn’t do well when she was seeking the nomination last time so I don’t even know if she will get to the nomination.
Saying that doesn’t mean I think she’s a bad person or she’s not qualified. She is. But can she actually win?
I am allowed to have my opinion.
Of course, if she becomes the nominee, I hope I’m wrong. Why? Because the alternative is terrifying to democracy.
But all the ridiculous comments I’ve received? I’m so negative. I’m so bad, and I’m so everything horrible by members of my own political persuasion? Not acceptable. STFU.
And this is some thing that Democrats always do. I’ve been watching it since the days I was handing out eminent domain flyers in front of a polling place in Ardmore years ago, where local Democrats were walking older people into the polls and saying “vote like we told you to.”
I don’t think that tactic works. And it shouldn’t work. We are a democracy, which means we are entitled to our opinions on these things.
So Chester County and other area Democrats? Get off the attack rat train.
Instead of attacking me, why don’t you calmly have a conversation and tell me why I’m not right?
And what none of you get is I would vote for a thumbtack over Donald Trump.
If Kamala Harris proves me wrong, that’s a positive for preserving democracy. But if you honestly want to know what I fear, it is when she ran last time for this nomination, she was a little too extreme and that turned people off.
And then people had to give me an education on Michelle Obama, like she was their close personal bestie. I know she has never expressed interest in political office, but the reason I mentioned her is that she is a Democrat who is a woman that I think could win. And again, that’s also my opinion. But then just be completely rude and patronizing to me and say to me that I need to be realistic not have fantasy choices it’s like so many of you completely lack basic reading comprehension?
Hi, I’m not playing fantasy football here, I’m discussing politics. And I’m discussing my opinion on politics. I’m not always going to agree with you and that doesn’t make me a bad person or necessarily wrong. It’s just a different opinion.
I’m not a sheeple.
For the record, I didn’t think Hillary Clinton could win, either and I was right.
So we shall see what happens.
Prior post:
it’s a political full moon, y’all.

I will preface this post with it’s a full moon, so howl at IT, not me.
So today is literally stormy political Sunday. Joe Biden has dropped out of the Presidential race. Before I get to the meat of this post, thank you sir for your decades of public service.

So Joe is out, and he’s endorsing Kamala Harris? Okay but I don’t think he can avoid that. And it certainly doesn’t mean she is the right person for the nomination.
She isn’t. She can’t win the Oval. She doesn’t have it to beat Trump and it’s just kind of that basic. She has been more hidden from view than Dan Quayle. Or Walter Mondale. Notice I don’t say Cheney since he is just Dr. Evil. She has been so hidden from view since elected VP, I feel that is telling. I also have never felt she had it it make it to president. She does not have broad enough or uniform appeal.
I do respect her ambition and accomplishments, and it would be nice to have a female president in the United States but she’s not Michelle Obama. Michelle Obama could actually win. But the sad truth is this country is not ready for a female president yet of any race, creed, color, or political persuasion and we don’t have the time to muck around with this right now, unless people want Big Orange and his sharpies back in the Oval?

People do not want Kamala Harris shoved down Democrats’ throats because of a small group of party elites. Someone aptly said that Democrats keep shooting themselves in the feet for trying to force nominees people do not want at the plurality.
We need an OPEN NOMINATION process or something similar at the convention. Kamala Harris does not have broad enough appeal or potential to her own party to win, let alone the disgusted regular Republicans who don’t want Trump.
So of course because I said this out loud on my blog’s Facebook page you would have thought I said something really bad. What I said is she can’t win the Oval. Come on people you know she can’t. Biden had to offer her up, we don’t have to accept that, but if they don’t get that in Chicago at the Democratic National Convention, then it will be Trump again 100%.
Now I do not have a crystal ball and I could be wrong, but I don’t think so. I also said Hilary Clinton could not win the Oval, and OMG you would have thought (again) said something really, really bad instead of just expressing my opinion.
I am not a sheeple.
There is a short list forming of winnables:
1. Josh Shapiro, Pennsylvania Governor. I have been following him since he was Joe Hoeffel’s Chief of Staff and if you were paying attention, this is his ultimate goal. He has experience, he is smart even when he’s being smarmy, and he does have bipartisan appeal, which is desperately needed.
2. Gavin Newsom. California Governor. He has the chops, experience, and has survived in California. Devin Nunes might not like him but that’s a good thing. Don’t hold his Trumpian Stepford first wife against him, I am sure he didn’t know Kimberly Guilfoyle was such a nutbag until after he married her.
3. Mark Kelly. Senator from Arizona. He’s the whole enchilada. Border state, former Navy officer and astronaut, and his wife is Gabby Giffords. His twin brother Scott was also an astronaut. He was an Independent which I find appealing. He is also from NJ, so he can definitely stand up to the Big Orange Bloviator. He’s a Gulf War veteran. Honestly, he’s my favorite. He checks all of the boxes. More positives than negatives.
Like I said, this isn’t my decision this is just my opinion on this topic. You need a candidate than gets you the votes from the other side of the aisle that you need to win a Presidential election. It is pretty much that simple.
I know a lot of you aren’t going to like my opinion. I’m okay with that. But I’ve actually thought about this, and I have been thinking about it, since she became the Vice Presidential nominee.
So here’s hoping that the Democratic National Convention is not going to be the shit show we all think it’s going to be.
And I think we all need to pause, and thank Joe Biden. He has done a very difficult and selfless thing, he has put what he wants to do aside for what he feels is the greater good. He has devoted his life to public service, and that’s pretty much it.
The Band-Aid has been ripped off Democrats, don’t screw it up.
And please, go howl at the full moon, not my opinions.
Pax.
a face for radio?

Life is about trying new things isn’t it? So today I did something different. I was a guest for a few minutes on my friend Barry’s WCHE Show “All Politics are Local.” It airs Friday from 11 AM to high noon.
Now a lot of people know Barry from various things, including great balloon rides and West Vincent Township. But what people don’t realize is that for many years he was on the radio. So he and WCHE have gotten together and he’s got this new show.
He has had many interesting guests so far, and one of the things I am most amused about are the elected officials of both political persuasions and candidates who ghost him or hide because he has offered them time to come on the air, and not have gotcha moments, but talk about what they’re about and what they’ve done.
Today they also had Neil Young the latest history teacher in Chester County running for office. He is running against Chrissy Houlahan for the 6th District Congressional seat. I was laughing because he came on after my segment, and he remarked that I think I was like the first thing his family saw when he announced he was running. I may have been giggling and posted a comparison to Pee Wee Herman’s haircut, and his because his old haircut did look like he borrowed it from Pee Wee Herman. And he has an Alex P. Keaton working on his campaign, but I’m guessing that the party machine has probably lessened the role of that high school kid who was his campaign manager. And I’m not saying Alex P Keaton because the kid was annoying or anything it’s because that’s what I immediately thought of was the television character Alex P. Keaton from “Family Ties” which was an awesome sitcom- and those who know me know that I don’t really watch sitcoms.

Now I’m still going to say I don’t think he’s my guy, but I applaud him for going on the air and talking about what he thinks and helping people get to know him. He was also very well spoken, which is a thing with me because Barry had a guest on earlier in the week who kept dropping her G’s and it makes you want to hit them between the shoulder blades.
Neil also spoke about the situation in Great Valley Middle School, where he is a history teacher. As he said in a recent media interview:
“There is nothing more dangerous than not holding children accountable,” said Neil Young, a middle school teacher who was the victim of a fake TikTok account created by his students….
“This is not funny,” was Young’s first thought when he found out about the post. He could not understand why students would do this to him or to the other teachers who were targeted. “These are great teachers.”
According to Young, the district’s administrative office (not the administration at the school) initially said that they would take care of the problem, but he was unsatisfied with their response….
A teacher and coach for twenty-two years, Young understands that middle school students are impulsive and make mistakes; yet he has witnessed a change in their demeanor over the years. “We have empowered children which is a good thing, but the pendulum has swung too far.”
Students are “careless in the way they use technology and have no understanding of the reach they have via social media. When they make mistakes, they are not apologetic and they employ a mantra of ‘I have rights.’”
He pointed out the difference between what I had said, and what those students did, which I think is important. Because every day I have somebody telling me I am a horrible human being, etc. etc. but there’s a big difference between being a blogger and what these middle school students have done.
He also announced on the air that he has a new stylist and a new hair cut so I am glad. His former style is like the some of the other hairstyles on men that I just don’t get. Especially if they have good hair. And there is a thing called too much styling product. And in general, regardless of what side of the aisle you are on sometimes the hairstyles they give candidates, male or female, are horrible. Especially with the women because they look very Stepford wifey.
Anyway, enough about that. Barry and I talked about the new legislation. I blogged about last night protecting residents against SLAPP suits.
Barry and I had a great time talking for a few minutes, and it was fun. Maybe we’ll even do it again, who knows? All I know is I’m really glad he didn’t say I had a face for radio because I might have to hang up on him then 🤣

The ability for any of us to discuss local things going on in various communities is very important. And basically today’s local media has been disemboweled. so many news outlets are dead. In our local communities, we really depended upon our local newspapers, and so many have shuttered themselves and gone out of business, or been acquired by things like hedge funds, who don’t give a crap about what goes on in our communities.
It’s really very sad. And you know Barry was nice enough to point out that I am a blogger so I am opinion based.
We’ll see what the feedback is. Because we all know there are so many people every day of the year who love to hate me and I still scratch my head at that one. First of all, they don’t know me, and second of all read something else. But when the haters gonna hate, then you must be doing something right is the other train of thought isn’t it?
Today’s will be up on a podcast soon. I encourage people dealing with issues in their communities to contact Barry and WCHE and see if they’d be a fit for his show. This really is about what is happening locally and it’s the stuff that you know politicians don’t want to get out there.
And face it here in Chester County. There are so many meetings that still aren’t recorded from municipality to municipality, and if they are, the recordings aren’t kept this show is your chance to let the sunshine into your community.
And I think I will sign off with a little thing to think about in West Whiteland, and it’s not about the Brickette.
I am seriously wondering if the newest member of the West Whiteland Board of Supervisors has fallen and hit her head or something?
Apparently there was a Democratic Committee Meeting last night and she had off-topic verbal diarrhea? Should she actually be an elected official? Look, I know I’m not suited for that life and I don’t think she is either and I can have that opinion. Maybe #Resign Fridays should be resurrected? And recall elections take what to happen? Is it something like 2/3 of the plurality of a municipality?
I thought she was a bad choice for a supervisor all along, and I’ve never not said that. But I have been watching since she has been sworn in and she doesn’t seem to get how to do her job. And politics and being a politician is for sure not for everyone. But you don’t see her at public events much do you? But when you do hear things about her it’s usually for what she’s saying that she probably should not be saying including in public meetings. I’m not talking about anything secret squirrel as I have no knowledge of that. And we leave secret squirrel/ squirrel time to West Goshen, anyway.
For example, this elected official has done things at public meetings where she has basically said a valued member of the community shouldn’t be opining on something when what they are opining on is a direct correlation to what their professional background is, so who is she to judge? I am (again) talking about what you can see which makes you wonder about what you can’t see and what you’re not hearing about doesn’t it? I find that troubling.
Now I know this politician doesn’t like me. She will, of course deny this, but she forgets that I actually know politicians don’t like critics and that’s a given but I don’t think she’s cut out to be a politician so I do think she should resign. She only got elected in the first place, because the then incumbent was being primaried and knew she wouldn’t survive.
Also, from a practical standpoint, she’s very uncomfortable with interacting with people. Stiff as a board as one of my grandfathers would have said.
Anyway, I had fun today so thank you Barry and WCHE!
Happy Friday people.

pa is slapping the slapp and it’s about damn time.

As the “named resident” in the Bishop Tube SLAPP suit a few years ago, I can honestly say it’s about time. My attorney prevailed because I had not done anything wrong OR what a developer accused me of, but along with the Delaware Riverkeeper I sat in this piece of BS for like 3 years all the way to superior court.

Like the Delaware Riverkeeper, I was vindicated. My attorney is and was Sam Stretton of West Chester.
My opinions on this toxic site remain unchanged. TCE isn’t something to play around with and I am entitled to said opinion as per the First Amendment.
If you ever wonder why I fight so hard to protect my first amendment rights, it’s because I’ve literally had to in court.
This is why I find it particularly abhorrent that what does Great Valley Middle School kids have done the teachers is categorized as first amendment rights because in my humble opinion, never, the twain shall meet. And guess what? The first amendment says that I can say that.
Thank you State Rep. Ryan Bizzaro. And to Governor Josh Shapiro, I also say thank you.
