stealth legislation: the bill gov. shapiro and a.i. / data center bigwigs don’t want pa residents to see before it’s passed.

Shhhhh! They want it to be a political secret! Literally if you try searching for it on Google and stuff it’s nearly impossible to find you have to dig. Which is kind of unusual because they want these bills out there so people can see their elected officials are working except they elected officials know this is a shameful dirty secret and should not pass go.

The media is not really talking about this – I have only found ONE story and it goes to some sort of initial vote TOMORROW as in 2/4/26. But we all are and why is that? Is there a Johnny Frack err Josh Shapiro blackout of sorts? I hate to sound all conspiracy theory, but this whole issue is like a giant conspiracy theory, isn’t it?

It is a partisan bill. It’s a Democrat sponsored bill, the they want to offer up with us the residents of Pennsylvania as collateral damage, to help Governor Josh Shapiro, who just launched his reelection campaign and has an agenda when it comes to data centers, doesn’t he?

https://legiscan.com/PA/bill/HB2151/2025

The bill opens up by saying:

An Act amending the act of July 31, 1968 (P.L.805, No.247), known as the Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code, in zoning, providing for data center ordinance assistance; and imposing duties on the Center for Local Government Services.

So yes, it’s a Band-Aid on the Municipalities Planning Code (MPC) which hasn’t had any comprehensive updates since circa 1968 or 1969. The MPC guides all the zoning that we find maddening affecting our communities. The MPC is the reason that when your elected officials say they can’t do something about something getting shoved down a community’s throat…they often can’t. Sometimes it’s because they lost their balls but not all of the time, right?

You know it’s funny, but under the MPC, all of our communities have to update their comprehensive plans every so many years or they should. (In some cases, like what was once the case in Lower Merion Township for example, it was like 30 years or better, but I digress.) Anyway the MPC tells our communities how often they should update yet that weighty tome is never comprehensively updated, and it needs it, but in order to do it, it requires an act of the state constitution to be enacted, and isn’t it time yet to do so?

I mean, why would politicians actually go out of our their way to do anything truly beneficial for their communities when it’s far easier to hold up that gruel bowl and to just continue to jury rig the MPC with these odd legislative Band-Aids that do more harm than good? This is exactly the case in my humble opinion with PA HB 2151 of 2026. Josh Shapiro and his corporate buddies and lobbyists want it, yes? It’s not all about them yet is it?

This has barely been introduced five minutes ago quite literally and it’s already being warp speed turbo charged fast tracked. All by edict of the Governor and his cozy relationships with AI and data center folks, yes? A VOTE IS SCHEDULED FOR TOMORROW ALREADY. We know how slow stuff moves in Harrisburg, yet this is all polished and ready to go? Mmmkay.

You all will remember HB 502 from 2025:

https://triblive.com/opinion/megan-mcdonough-hb-502-is-a-betrayal-of-local-communities/

https://www.pennlive.com/opinion/2025/07/bill-502-must-be-scrapped-opinion.html

PA HB 502 of 2025 is kind of a political cousin to PA 2151 of 2026. It kind of interesting that you can’t find articles about it now and PA 2151 is very hard to locate on a simple internet search. It’s hiding in plain sight hoping it’ll get passed PDQ.

PA HB 2151 will literally remove rights from municipalities regarding data centers. It’s not some nice and nicely how to guide which is how it’s being misrepresented by state reps and presented.

The good news is state reps are almost always constantly running for office because it’s a two-year term. We as Pennsylvania’s need to remind them. They can’t rest on their laurels and hope the Democrats are going to save them because this is a partisan bill. We don’t have much time to ratchet it up here and we need to get busy. It’s already happening but you can do your part contact your state rep. Tell them simply PA HB5121 is not for the good of Pennsylvania. You need to tell them if they like being a state rep they don’t want this to be their Waterloo.

Now I want show you who’s involved with the bill. And please note there is still one obvious Chester County State Reps who is a sponsor. Sappey and I am very disappointed in her, and Danielle Friel Otten who ran initially as a pipeline activist, has apparently removed herself (more below). Of course former Radnor Township Commissioner who often looks like a muppet with those bangs who is now a Delaware County State Rep named Lisa Borowski is on it as well, which doesn’t surprise me because all she does is bend over in Harrisburg, for whatever she is told to do, doesn’t she? And yes, that does sound vulgar, but that’s an opinion of how people see her.

(Actually any sponsor or co-sponsor on this bill should be sent kneepads with Josh Shapiro‘s face on them shouldn’t they? )

Your data center issue potentially appearing in your community is your new pipeline. It’s your new condo building you don’t want. It’s your new apartment building. It’s also your new warehouse that you don’t want. The common denominator here is they need to comprehensively update the PA Municipalities Planning Code yet what do they want to do? Shove data centers in everywhere. Now I’m gonna show you who the Bill sponsors are here and then I’m going to segue to a piece of Pennsylvania in Lackawanna County that you didn’t know existed- Archbald. Why is this little area? That’s a big big acreage area called Archbald important? They’re trying to shove 400 acres are better of data center up there. This area is a proposed location for several large-scale data center projects, notably the Wildcat Ridge Data Center Campus (14 buildings) and “Project Gravity” (7 buildings) by Western Hospitality Partners, sparking significant local debate over environmental impact (water, power) and proximity to residential areas

The media is BARELY talking about this Archbald stuff state-wide and only one report on this HB 2151.

If you want to FedEx, these people kneepads, you can go to their office page, you will get the addresses. Of course I’m actually kidding with the kneepads but it’s apropos in my opinion.

I must note that since I started this post earlier today, Rep. Danielle Otten has apparently removed herself from the bill. However, there is no public announcement of this by here, and shouldn’t there be? Otherwise it makes people wonder, right? If you are standing with the people, please say so. Here are the screen shots that pertain to this and see updated list here:

HOWEVER, she is NOT off on this PA link: https://legiscan.com/PA/bill/HB2151/2025

So giddy up fellow Pennsylvanians and stop this thing. It deserves to be stopped. This bill diminishes our rights to have a say in the shape of our communities. Plus there are very real environmental and other issues with regard to data centers. Google Louden County Virginia and other places which have been negatively impacted. Here in Chester County and throughout PA, it’s starting to feel like every day brings another data center plan. It’s time to slow their roll.

BREAKING: east whiteland gets $1 million from harrisburg!

Hi! Friendly neighborhood blogger here. Reporting live from the East Whiteland Supervisors meeting.

Chair of East Whiteland Supervisors Scott Lambert just announced that PA Governor Josh Shapiro has given East Whiteland a grant check ONE MILLION DOLLARS to add to the Chester County grant already announced for $800,000.

This means a hefty chunk of change going towards the purchase of the Schiffer Farm property along with the open space referendum tax funds. This is AMAZING.

Congratulations East Whiteland!

And East Whiteland? Please buy yourself some new microphones for the podium in the boardroom.

it’s a political full moon, y’all.

I will preface this post with it’s a full moon, so howl at IT, not me.

So today is literally stormy political Sunday. Joe Biden has dropped out of the Presidential race. Before I get to the meat of this post, thank you sir for your decades of public service.

So Joe is out, and he’s endorsing Kamala Harris? Okay but I don’t think he can avoid that. And it certainly doesn’t mean she is the right person for the nomination.

She isn’t. She can’t win the Oval. She doesn’t have it to beat Trump and it’s just kind of that basic. She has been more hidden from view than Dan Quayle. Or Walter Mondale. Notice I don’t say Cheney since he is just Dr. Evil. She has been so hidden from view since elected VP, I feel that is telling. I also have never felt she had it it make it to president. She does not have broad enough or uniform appeal.

I do respect her ambition and accomplishments, and it would be nice to have a female president in the United States but she’s not Michelle Obama. Michelle Obama could actually win. But the sad truth is this country is not ready for a female president yet of any race, creed, color, or political persuasion and we don’t have the time to muck around with this right now, unless people want Big Orange and his sharpies back in the Oval?

People do not want Kamala Harris shoved down Democrats’ throats because of a small group of party elites. Someone aptly said that Democrats keep shooting themselves in the feet for trying to force nominees people do not want at the plurality.

We need an OPEN NOMINATION process or something similar at the convention. Kamala Harris does not have broad enough appeal or potential to her own party to win, let alone the disgusted regular Republicans who don’t want Trump.

So of course because I said this out loud on my blog’s Facebook page you would have thought I said something really bad. What I said is she can’t win the Oval. Come on people you know she can’t. Biden had to offer her up, we don’t have to accept that, but if they don’t get that in Chicago at the Democratic National Convention, then it will be Trump again 100%.

Now I do not have a crystal ball and I could be wrong, but I don’t think so. I also said Hilary Clinton could not win the Oval, and OMG you would have thought (again) said something really, really bad instead of just expressing my opinion.

I am not a sheeple.

There is a short list forming of winnables:

1. Josh Shapiro, Pennsylvania Governor. I have been following him since he was Joe Hoeffel’s Chief of Staff and if you were paying attention, this is his ultimate goal. He has experience, he is smart even when he’s being smarmy, and he does have bipartisan appeal, which is desperately needed.

2. Gavin Newsom. California Governor. He has the chops, experience, and has survived in California. Devin Nunes might not like him but that’s a good thing. Don’t hold his Trumpian Stepford first wife against him, I am sure he didn’t know Kimberly Guilfoyle was such a nutbag until after he married her.

3. Mark Kelly. Senator from Arizona. He’s the whole enchilada. Border state, former Navy officer and astronaut, and his wife is Gabby Giffords. His twin brother Scott was also an astronaut. He was an Independent which I find appealing. He is also from NJ, so he can definitely stand up to the Big Orange Bloviator. He’s a Gulf War veteran. Honestly, he’s my favorite. He checks all of the boxes. More positives than negatives.

Like I said, this isn’t my decision this is just my opinion on this topic. You need a candidate than gets you the votes from the other side of the aisle that you need to win a Presidential election. It is pretty much that simple.

I know a lot of you aren’t going to like my opinion. I’m okay with that. But I’ve actually thought about this, and I have been thinking about it, since she became the Vice Presidential nominee.

So here’s hoping that the Democratic National Convention is not going to be the shit show we all think it’s going to be.

And I think we all need to pause, and thank Joe Biden. He has done a very difficult and selfless thing, he has put what he wants to do aside for what he feels is the greater good. He has devoted his life to public service, and that’s pretty much it.

The Band-Aid has been ripped off Democrats, don’t screw it up.

And please, go howl at the full moon, not my opinions.

Pax.

pa is slapping the slapp and it’s about damn time.

As the “named resident” in the Bishop Tube SLAPP suit a few years ago, I can honestly say it’s about time. My attorney prevailed because I had not done anything wrong OR what a developer accused me of, but along with the Delaware Riverkeeper I sat in this piece of BS for like 3 years all the way to superior court.

Like the Delaware Riverkeeper, I was vindicated. My attorney is and was Sam Stretton of West Chester.

My opinions on this toxic site remain unchanged. TCE isn’t something to play around with and I am entitled to said opinion as per the First Amendment.

If you ever wonder why I fight so hard to protect my first amendment rights, it’s because I’ve literally had to in court.

This is why I find it particularly abhorrent that what does Great Valley Middle School kids have done the teachers is categorized as first amendment rights because in my humble opinion, never, the twain shall meet. And guess what? The first amendment says that I can say that.

Thank you State Rep. Ryan Bizzaro. And to Governor Josh Shapiro, I also say thank you.

they are planting more development in farm country

Yesterday we headed out in to Chester County to go visit a peony farm in what I knew growing up as Brandamore. Like Glenmoore it is actually a very old unincorporated community in Chester County. Brandamore is north of Coatesville. Sometimes when I see people referring to Brandamore today, that either call Coatesville or Glenmoore.

Anyway, we headed out Reeceville Road off of the 30 Bypass. The 30 Bypass is insane in the rain, and what was even more insane were the people not moving over for an ambulance with lights on.

I’m also going to say something that might lead to believe I have fallen and hit my head, but I haven’t. It’s just in this location it works because there’s enough space.

I’m talking about the traffic circle/roundabout at Route 82 (Manor Road) and Cedar Knoll Road/Reeceville Road intersection. I actually think it really works here because there’s enough land for the circle to function properly, as opposed to what they were trying to propose at 352 and King Road a few years ago in East Goshen/East Whiteland. And no houses were taken from what I understand.

This is a mostly pretty drive with rolling hill and farm fields except the farm fields are disappearing rapidly, and all you see are more developments coming.

All of these developments are going to bring how many more people to an area that doesn’t even have a hospital close by.

As we drove by bulldozers and other heavy earth moving equipment I wondered what PA State Senators and State Representatives and the PA Governor were doing to protect these areas?

The short answer, of course, is nothing much because then they would actually have to get off their asses and enact an act of the state constitution to update the woefully decades outdated Municipalities Planning Code of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

It’s so sad to watch what is happening to a county known for agriculture and equine culture. The school districts can’t handle this growth, first responders can’t handle it, the rest of the infrastructure is stressed, and there aren’t even hospitals to serve all these people.

Chester County is being destroyed. And state elected officials are allowing it.

It’s the farmland disappearing act.

people are fed up with the cavalcante on the run of it all

To the people contacting me all I can say is spread the word around if see something say something. Just keep reporting sightings. Please don’t just report it to social media call the actual police.

I think law enforcement in Southeastern PA needs to get together and there needs to be reversed 911 to the entire southeastern PA area.

This guy could be headed into Norristown, or King of Prussia, etc.

My fear is he makes it to South Jersey and hides in the Pine Barrens for a good long time putting a lot of those people there at risk. Or he goes to Philadelphia, and just blends in with the rest of the criminals that are never caught in that jurisdiction.

And if Josh Shapiro can do things like giant press conferences on putting I-95 back together why can’t he put our mind at ease down here and get more resources as needed?

where’s marian?

Yo Marian Moscowiz we thought Josh Shapiro was your BFF? Have you reached out to him for more resources to catch Danelo Cavalcante?

This escaped murderer is actually running around now in your part of the county or close enough to it, right?

So where are you comforting your constituency the people of Chester County? We have heard barely a word from you since this began.

Lady, with all due respect, do you want us to vote for you in November? Earn it.

I have friends texting me conversations between themselves and neighbors in East Pikeland. You know people that were supposed to get a Reverse 911 only most or all of them didn’t?

This guy looks more rested than everyone else at this point. There should be reversed 911 calls going out all across Southeastern Pennsylvania.

People feel scared, powerless, helpless, angry, and you are hiding. Hiding is not supposed to be in your job description.
