you know it is election season…when….

My favorite comment about this Golly it’s Election Season Website is as follows:

Any website that says “we’re concerned a page is anonymous” while itself being an anonymous page is a person looking in a mirror and saying “you’re out of shape”.

~ Richard E.

So this is where I start this post which is not only about a Political Action Committee targeting essentially concerned parents, especially women who live in and out of the West Chester Area School District, but another scenario in another Chester County School District.

But first the antics of a “Political Action Committee.” Begin with WHY are they targeting concerned moms and other residents?

Simple. It is because these residents from all political and other persuasions have come together because their concern is so great about the future of public education in their district. They are concerned about the Republican-endorsed, PAC-endorsed Candidates for West Chester Area School District School Board that the Chester County GOP seems to have no issue with. I have to ask why Chester County GOP has no issue with extremism is they are giving it a seal of approval ALL over the county? Ask everyday traditional Republicans privately about the county GOP and they will tell you they do not feel that the party seat in Chester County gives a crap about anything other than what they want right there in West Chester, and my oh my, they are so not the party of Lincoln anymore are they and isn’t that literally sad?

The above slide show can show you some of the individuals being targeted. Not politicians, not candidates for office, not local celebrities of some kind…everyday ordinary people (women) whose major crime apparently is caring about their communities and public school education.

So the “Revealed” website is up on Facebook and Twitter. They have two followers on Twitter, one of which seems to have the last named as #AnonymousAda the Q-Anon Candidate, Ada Nestor? And I am sure Stacey Whomsley’s paws are all over this somehow, right? She’s all sugar and spice and faux helpful mommy nice but she’s is a smooth operator behind the scenes, isn’t she?

And the Chester County GOP ? What do they have to do with this nasty ass website? What do they have to do specifically with the candidates? Are they disavowing knowledge or merely washing their collective hands of certain candidates like Pontius Pilate? Do they still have their attack rat ankle biting volunteers trying to bully and intimidate anyone who says they don’t like the WCASD Republican school board candidates?

Concerned WCASD Constituents is a threat to these people. Concerned WCASD Constituents is a threat because they are ordinary people not being funded by politicians and political donors. It doesn’t matter who they are, it’s a community group comprised of all sorts of people. Non-partisan, and their goal is better schools, better candidates. It’s not some huge conspiracy that they are a group. They can tell us who they are, they can choose not to tell us who they are. They aren’t breaking any laws.

Now here is a comment by one of the women targeted by this page, and she actually is just a supporter of Concerned WCASD Constituents page:

Good for Jennifer Fenn. I don’t know her, but I think I would liker her.

However, Keeping Kids in School takes credit for WCASD Constituents Revealed and Keeping Kids is a PAC that is registered right? Accepting donations, right? and WCASD Constituents Revealed is identified BY THEM as a “Political Organization” and as such is participating in TARGETED HARASSMENT of individuals who don’t think the school board candidates this PAC is supporting is right for their district and how is that illegal? The answer is it is NOT and neither is using a social media handle or pseudonym. But then again the “Revealed” site doesn’t specifically say who THEY are, ergo they are also anonymous after a fashion and welp…pretzel logic for the clinically insane much?

Stacey Whomsley and Ada Nestor and now Anita Edgarian are not good candidates. Anita is the woman who pitched a fit at a WCASD school board meeting and then complained to Fox News. I know many Persians and Armenians and none of them behave like she does. These candidates are extremists and distortionists at a minimum. Ada Nestor is a QAnon followers as admitted in her own social media before she became born again wannabe politicians. And they are ALL technically politicians, but they are all about their bullshit middle school mean girl tactics. And who likes the posts on the new website’s social media outlets? Looks like relatives of two of the candidates? Stacey Whomsley is the most intelligent as well as in my opinion, devious of the three. I know nothing about Anita Edgarian other than how she presents herself at public meetings acting like a screaming fishwife, then misrepresenting the facts with fake news outlets. As a matter of fact that district received so many threats that it appears the meetings went virtual in August?

Now I fully and completely expect these wingnuts to say I am behind the Concerned WCASD Constituents, and as amusing as that might be, I am not. But I do support what these people are trying to do.

Now the second thing I find squirrely in Chester County involved the Tredyffrin Republicans.

Last week someone sent me a note- NOT MY WORDS BUT SENT TO ME BY A CONCERNED RESIDENT – this is a Democrat versus Republican this is about keeping really bad people out of our area and out of our politics etc. People need to wake up!

Local Tredyffrin Easttown republicans embrace anti-Muslim QAnon conspiracy theorist Scott PreslerPresler organized multiple protests leading up to the Jan. 6 insurrection. In a tweet, he called it “the largest civil rights protest in American history.”Pictured are Tredyffrin school board candidate Deanna Wang and Tredyffrin Supervisor candidate Nick Sarracino. A little about Mr. Pressler: “The operative, Virginia native Scott Presler, has a years-long history of extremist activism, including serving as a top strategist for an organization that the Anti-Defamation League and Southern Poverty Law Center deemed the largest anti-Muslim hate group in the United States. Presler, who in 2017 stunted for disgraced Alabama U.S. Senate candidate Judge Roy Moore, also helped organize multiple “Stop the Steal” protests leading up to the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol. He later attended the riot, describing it as the “largest civil rights protest in American history” in a tweet with video of the crowd.”Please pay attention to our local school board elections, what candidates are doing and with whom they are aligned, and vote in November. To read more about the connection between Presler and hate groups see: Newest House GOP Star Teams Up With Nutty MAGA Conspiracy Theorist

And this came with screen shots:

WCASD School Board QAnon Candidate #AnonymousAda is a fan –
she left a comment on the same photo on the Presler guy’s page

I just do not understand these people. I don’t understand all of the political extremism. Political extremism has pretty much ruined U.S. politics, and now it is targeting and potentially ruining public education.

We as Americans need to stop this madness. We all deserve better than this.

This is why we have to vote smart come November. These school board and off-year races have gotten filthy.

Heavy sigh.

carpe diem west vincent residents

Keep-Calm-and-Vote-Full-sizeWest Vincent residents your township is at a crucial juncture. No other way to put it.

Do I live in West Vincent? No. Would I have considered living in West Vincent ever? The answer is yes, until the failed eminent domain for private gain attempt against the horse show. West Vincent has a lot of beauty to it, but some of the residents provide a lot of ugliness which is indeed a shame.

No municipality is perfect and neither are politicians. But there is a big difference in basic human frailties, and politicians who inspire people to do harm to others. A candidate who so inspires is not whom anyone should want even for trash collector or dog catcher.

Ken Miller has had decades plural as a supervisor. Maybe when he started out he had the township best interests at heart but year after year, that path has muddied to the dead end of …..Ken Miller is for Ken Miller.

He inspires individuals to hurt others. You never hear from HIM, you only hear from THEM.   They go out on their mission and attack anyone and everyone who gets in his and their way.  I know as they have tried it with me (and still are). Unfortunately for them I see them for what they are: mean, petty, angry gossips, and somewhat silly.

Astoundingly it has been reported that a few of them apparently made a trip to the Daily Local to try to place an article about how their candidate is being maligned? Seriously? While they harass people inside West Vincent and outside of  West Vincent, vandalize private property, steal lawn signs like 12 year olds, and try to put people out of business for having the unbelievable (to them) gall of wanting better government representation?

Ken Miller’s minions have spent thousands and thousands of dollars to try to keep him in office. Who has what on whom? We may never know, but they definitely have a stake in the game, wouldn’t you say?

Like attracts like, and people who are mean as spit with slavish devotion to a local politician? Come on now, how much more obvious can you get?

Ken Miller is a great example of why there should be term limits in local government. Fresh faces and reasonable ideals are not a bad thing. West Vincent desperately needs more of that.  If he had only been in office one term, well hey, a second term is reasonable. But now it is more like Tammany Hall than a township, and that is not good.

Then there is the undisputable fact that Mr. Miller is not well, shall we say, fiscally responsible? So much about his finances are on the public record and that isn’t made up is it? And West Vincent pays his benefits, a retirement plan, and a roadmaster’s salary as well, correct?  Wouldn’t you like a supervisor who is just a supervisor and not looking to make a buck constantly off the hardworking backs of the taxpayer?

And no matter what political persuasion you are, don’t you want someone more fiscally responsible? And wouldn’t you like better roads?

Your township gets carved up by development more every year. Maybe, if developers weren’t so comfortable with a long entrenched supervisor, you might stand a chance for a little more balance?

vote

His supporters like to tell you he’s fabulous for the environment and well can it be said  that the only organic thing about him might be the manure his cows produce? They talk about the Sierra Club, but as everyone knows, the Sierra Club endorsements are not so hard to get, are they? Wink wink here’s a donation, endorse my buddy, right? Environmental  non-profits that don’t endorse are the ones who actually do great things for communities.

And that Sierra Club endorsement labels him a Republican candidate seeking re-election. He is in fact the Democratic candidate because he was written in. That was the only way he could stay on the ballot after the spring primary.

I believe in political balance, but registered Democrats in West Vincent? Hello? You aren’t going to get a real Democrat in office who shares your ideals and values if you vote for him. He hasn’t changed his political party affiliation, so basically Miller is simply practicing the politics of opportunism. That doesn’t work so well in Washington, D.C. so why would you want in locally?

vote_3On Election Day I hope all of you will vote for Mike Schneider. He will serve you well if you do.

Change is hard. I get that. And people have gotten beaten down over the years by this current regime. But look at it this way, if our forefathers could cross a great ocean to start a new country and escape political and religious tyranny, you can retire Ken Miller on Election Day.

It’s that simple.

Stop the anger. Stop the tyranny. Stop the politics of opportunism and favoritism. Stop the mean people. Retire Ken Miller.

Carpe diem and God speed.

hmmmm…..northern chesco is breaking up

fed1It seems things are just odd in Northern Chester County.  So there is this Federation thing – to me it sounds like a GIANT Federation of Civic Associations on a municipal level.  And when it comes to Federation of Northern Chester County Communities, they are a dropping like  proverbial flies:

E. Vincent and S. Coventry backing away from Chesco’s Northern Federation

 By EVAN BRANDT ebrandt@pottsmerc.com

Posted: 12/02/12

fed2Two more towns are pulling away from the  Federation of   Northern    Chester County Communities.

On Nov. 14, the East Vincent Board of Supervisors voted 2-0 to formally withdraw from the 38-year-old cooperative municipal organization and at a Friday morning meeting, the South Coventry Board of Supervisors voted 3-0 to “take a hiatus from participation in the monthly Northern Federation meetings for 2013.”

The actions follow on the heels a withdrawal vote by East Nantmeal on July 11 and geographically divide the organization into eastern and western halves, each with three townships remaining.

fed3The result of the two votes this month leave Warwick, North Coventry, East Coventry, West Vincent, West Pikeland, and East Pikeland as the towns that remain in the Northern Federation.

In letters written to Charles Jacob, chairman of both the Warwick Board of Supervisors and the “Northern Fed” as it is often called, both townships expressed similar concerns about the organization’s lack of by-laws, stated goals and purpose and procedures regarding minutes, handling money and voting.

“We were one of the first townships to really questions the structure,” South Coventry Supervisors Chairman Tim Blevins said Friday.

fed4The Northern Federation “seems to have its own agenda and God forbid you ask a question or have a different opinion, you get shunned or ignored,” he said……The Nov. 15 East Vincent letter noted that “the Federation has begun to take on very large projects involving large sums of money and continue to forge onward without proper controls in place, despite the fact that concerns have been raised. For these reasons, the majority of East Vincent Supervisors feel it is best to withdraw unless and until proper measures are put in place.”

In fact the money related to the Federation’s latest and most ambitious project — a new parks, recreation and open space plan, or PROS — is now also part of the debate.

Funded by grants from Chester County, the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources and a $2,000 contribution from each township, the plan was completed and adopted by all nine of the member towns, but $9,556.70 remains unspent……In 2010, East Vincent voted 2-1 to withdraw from the Phoenixville Regional Planning Commission. (READ ENTIRE ARTICLE HERE)

Now a lot of this is all Greek to me because I haven’t lived in Chester County for long, nor do I live out in any of those municipalities.  Admittedly I am a bit jaded and tend to raise an eyebrow at governmental pow-wow associations to begin with.

Obviously not all can do the municipal back patting any longer.

Can you blame them?

Things are always wonky in West Vincent and aren’t  there new  or new proposed development plans making people cringe in one or both of the Pikelands and aren’t people worried about some particularly large swaths of land in West Vincent? (Along with odd zoning, flower shops becoming restaurants and the like?)

Anyway, it seems very curious in these Northern Chester County Municipalities doesn’t it?

Santa Claus might have a big ol’ naughty list out there….

being discussed in chester county: pennsylvania and politics of the uterus

I am going to wade into uncomfortable waters in conservative Chester County.  I found a post on the Phoenixville Patch that is worth discussing.  It is by a woman name Lisa Longo.  Apparently Politics of the Uterus is the key to 2012 politics in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

Here is an excerpt:

Blog: What is the GOP Thinking? And Why Are They in My Uterus?

I have to say, I never expected the GOP to so totally torpedo itself.

How could they have mishandled everything to this extent? First they unleash their extreme caucus, also known as the “tea” “party,” which leads to the birth of the Occupy Movement. Then they decide to take the party right off the cliff by picking a fight with women, and not just any one woman, they made ALL of us angry over the non-issue (to women) on their issue of contraception in health care.

And now some State Legislators are attempting to pass heinous, invasive and unconstitutional bills that will insist a woman be given a mandatory ultrasound prior to abortion. It is beyond offensive….

Which brings me to another interesting movement born recently, the call for a nationwide day of protest in state capitals. Karen Teegarden had an idea, to bring women together and raise our voices and let legislators know we have had enough. What started as the We are Women march has now become the United Against the War on Women March, and it is going to be one amazing day of nationwide protests. More info at: https://www.facebook.com/?ref=tn_tnmn#!/UniteWomen?sk=wall

This day of national protest will be our message to the GOP: stop assaulting my rights! And to tell you the truth, I feel constantly assaulted by the GOP. Starting with my arrest at the first Tar Sands, and the constant fight to get the FRAC Act passed, the repeated fight to stop the Keystone XL, the cuts to education, health and welfare, and now this, the final insult, they want to take away my right to control my own body…..The bill in PA is scheduled for a March 12 vote. Between now and then we need a fast, and furious, campaign, to make sure the GOP is put on notice: vote yes on this bill and we will do everything we can to make sure you are not re-elected. It is time to explain to legislators in no uncertain terms that the GOP has no business in my uterus.

What a woman chooses to do with her own body is a personal matter and neither legislators, or men in clerical (methinks the Catholic Church needs to deal with it’s out of control and pedophile priests before they open their mouths further) or judicial robes should decide what is best for her.  My choices as a woman are not necessarily the ones another woman would take, and while among female friends we might discuss what we do, that is not to say we presume to tell other women what to do with their bodies.

And yes, I am Catholic and I am a registered Republican.  My views are my business, but I do not feel any of us have the right to tell other women what to do unless they are abusing a privilege.

Perhaps I would not have a feeling on this if I were not a breast cancer survivor. But I am.  And as a survivor of not yet a year I can tell you sometimes it bugs me when non-medical professionals who are not of my inner circle or family presume too far in telling me what to do.  It’s a walk a mile in my bra kind of thing. Don’t play politics of the uterus – which incidentally did not work so well for monster charity Susan G. Komen recently, did it?

As a woman, it is hard to get the medical treatment you want at times, even with health insurance.  I think that politically driven legislation like HB 1077 in the PA House is dangerous to women’s health initiatives overall.  Already there is enough we can’t get coverage for on a regular basis as a woman.

Not all women are meant to be mothers.  Not all women can afford to be mothers.  Life and medical issues precluded me from being able to bear children.  Yet I do not feel as a woman I have the right to judge other women in this area.  Unless of course they treat their kids like litters of stray kittens dumped in a box on the side of the road.  Then I might have something to say just because as someone unable to have their own children I am astounded when women do not recognize how lucky they were to be able to choose to become a parent.

Anyway, the furor over HB 1077 grows.  Bills like this reduce all women to being mindless brood mares.  It is also because of legislation like this that yes, movements like Unite Against The War on Women and We Are Women March- PA (and other states) are growing.  Much like the protests of the 1960s and 1970s, I feel these protests are going to be monsters.  And are they all wrong?

Any discussion, here?  I am irked that as someone who needs routine ultrasounds of all kinds that I have to jump through AMAZING hoops for approvals  and proper codes with health insurance, yet a politically driven bill like this means that women who might not CHOOSE to have an ultrasound will get one whether they want one or not!

The primary sponsor of this bill is ironically a woman.  Kathy L. Rapp.

Here are the rest of the sponsors:

Check out the rest of the Chesco kids on this helpful page called Chester County PA Legislators.

I found a website called Chester County Politics which may have some politician info on it – haven’t delved into it, did not know it existed until today.
