was he only dressing up as a “professor” for halloween? (pro-tip: don’t let klanned karenhood pick your school board candidates)

It’s like Karma just gave us the biggest gift ever! Chris Bressi, the local politician running for Downingtown Area School School District School Board just got OUTED for being the FAKE people have said all along. I almost spit out my coffee this morning when this hit my inbox.

You see I’m just a little ole’ blogger and someone he called a racist among other things. But while he was going high and we were supposedly going low, you just kept looking at things and nothing added up did it? Only you wonder if the media is ever going to look into some of these Klanned Karenhood , Stepford Wives for Totalitarianism, Moms for Liberty candidates don’t you?

But hey, I have maintained all along that you shouldn’t let people who wear gas masks to school board meetings, pick out your school board candidates and other politicians…

Karma is a god. Yes, thank you Taylor Swift. It is such an amazing thing to have the media even find more than we knew about. I know I had nothing to do with the media placement with this. My phone started blowing up this morning when I turned it on and it really has given me a good giggle…

Philadelphia Inquirer : A Downingtown school board candidate pretended to be the ‘Society of College Medicine’ to challenge books

It’s one of numerous websites Christopher Bressi appears to have created that link to one another and profess to be “global networks” of academic professionals.

by Maddie Hanna

Published Nov. 2, 2023, 5:00 a.m. ET

The first warning from the Society of College Medicine landed in inboxes in June 2021, with the subject line “Violation — Book Red Flagged.”

“It has come to our attention that a ‘Red Flagged’ book has appeared on your DEI Reading List,” the email to Downingtown Area School District administrators and school board members, began, citing White Fragility by Robin DiAngelo….

Several more emails arrived in the coming weeks, warning Downingtown that the society had now issued five “tier-1″ and eight “tier-2″ violations for books it deemed “extremely divisive.” The society said it had given Downingtown’s DEI reading list a “D,” “which is in the bottom tier of all schools we assess globally.”

But the Society for College Medicine is merely a website that appears to be made up by a man who is not a physician but is running for the Downingtown school board.

Christopher Bressi, a Republican backed by the conservative “parental rights” group Moms for Liberty, previously listed the society on his resume andreferenced it in Facebook posts, according to community members who have documented the ties. The society’s website has also mentioned Bressi…..When Bressi announced his candidacy, community members searched online to learn more about him. They found a resume on LinkedIn that mentioned the Society of College Medicine — the first of several connections that would emerge. (The mention has since disappeared from his resume, which also doesn’t use his full name.)…Bressi did not respond to requests for comment, but in a Facebook post in March, he said he had never wanted to run for school board, “which used to be the most trivial position on planet earth,” but “was convinced to after five — yes 5 requests.”

He said in that post that since announcing his run, he had been harassed, bullied and doxed, and that his opponents were afraid that he would “bring rationality back and actually listen to parents.”…Bressi describes himself as a professor — appearing on Moms for Liberty’s endorsement list as “Professor Christopher Bressi” — who began working in the “higher education sector” as a research assistant in 1998….Since those humbler beginnings, I have held various, senior-level positions including Academic Dean, Department Chair, Site Director, Director of Education, and National Director,” he says on his campaign website.

He doesn’t say where he’s worked. But a LinkedIn resume for “Christopher B.” on LinkedIn that uses the same Martin Luther King Jr. quote as his campaign site — “Everybody can be great, because anybody can serve” — lists numerous positions, including “executive director of higher education.”

That position appears to be with Aspect Consulting, an IT consulting company based in King of Prussia; the company did not return a message seeking comment. A former colleague said Bressi’s role when they worked together was connecting education institutions with consultants that could advise them about software.

“The fact that he says he’s the director of higher ed, that’s a service we provide. … But he’s not the service, he’s the go-between,” said the former colleague, who spoke on the condition of anonymity….Bressi’s resume also says he has been an adjunct technology professor with Delaware County Community College for 20 years; a college spokesperson said she could not comment on employment information.

In other roles, Bressi says he worked as a technology professor for ITT Technical Institute, the for-profit education chain that shut down in 2016; and as academic dean for the former Career Education Corp., now Perdoceo, a company that owns for-profit colleges. The company did not respond to a request for comment.

He also says he was a law and justice professor from 2004 to 2006 for Alvernia University, “in the Philadelphia and Exton PA Location(s).” Bressi says that, as “site director and professor” for the PA Institute of Forensic Science, he “worked in conjunction with Alvernia College to expand/open a satellite campus in Exton, PA.”

An Alvernia spokesperson said academic records reflect classes taught by Bressi in 2005, “but we haven’t operated a site in Exton.”…Bressi informed the board that “the largest educational management group on LinkedIn” had “recommended collectively that K-12 schools adopt a no-politics-in-the-classroom pledge” — advising the district to “follow suit.”

Bressi’s use of groups he’s created is “absolutely deceptive,” intended to convey authority, said one parent, who requested anonymity because she’s been secretly tracking right-wing community members online.

She said she worries about the prospect of Moms for Liberty and others gaining influence on the school board: “I don’t want my hometown to end up like Florida.”

This is a huge article, and it is so worth getting a subscription to The Philadelphia Inquirer to read it.

This guy is the George Santos of school board candidates and local politicians.

Thank you to The Philadelphia Inquirer for writing about this. We owe them a debt of gratitude out here in Chester County. And no, I had nothing to do with the article.

Gosh “professor” I guess being passive aggressive towards me all these months is the least of your worries now.

But hey dude, you keep going high up into the ether where your delusions live, while we live in reality.

Between this news and West Goshen today it’s like Christmas came early.

Ciao for now!

gosh the “professor” is pithy…

No, I don’t want to miss a word so allow me to quote the “professor”:

Today I was sent, what I consider, a very racist and sexist “blog article” apparently aimed at me… Oh well… Friends… In all seriousness. In a world filled with diverse perspectives and experiences, it’s inevitable that we encounter individuals who may not share our values or exhibit the same level of respect that we strive to maintain in our own lives. Such encounters can be challenging, especially when they involve hurtful comments or actions, such as racism or derogatory remarks. However, it’s during these moments that our capacity for forgiveness and a positive outlook can truly shine. Folks, you might think I am crazy, but I urge you to still treat these people with RESPECT and dignity. They are human… It’s OK… We do NOT need more screaming and insults… We need more forgiveness and understanding… Let’s talk and reason with each other and set a good example for the children/students. Now…Have a wonderful evening.

Gosh I love it when the “professor” opines. He’s a busy guy. When he’s not trying to co-opt issues like Save Lionville Station Farm, he loves his word salads.

Before we get to the “professor” and his latest word salad, a brief check in with the issue co-opt express. Bressi says he wants to save Lionville Station Farm from mega warehouses, and loves to use this issue for his personal political gain, but dude has been so busy tossing and serving up word salads that he has not even signed the pledge and taken the questionnaire put out by the Save Lionville Station Farm folks to politicians and elected officials. I mean, I know he likes to think big thoughts and ponder his navel but he’s had that long enough to get off the proverbial pot already, right?

So let’s get back to the “Professor“ at hand. Chris Bressi loves nothing more than trying to piggyback on an issue or social issue or whatever. I don’t think he has an original thought in his body. He acts like a Hallmark card yet this is the guy who wants to ban books and more so allow me to point out the latest which I believe is aimed at me? Political candidates love to keep up with trends, right? And now I am a sexist ? Duuude, that is truly hysterical 🤣🤣🤣

Apparently he seems like wants to call me a racist because I made fun of him posing for a photo op at a recent public event. What I said had zero to do with the event, and a person he was posing with from the event was blocked out because it wasn’t his fault Professor Smarmy wanted a photo op.

What I said was, I couldn’t decide to look that the “Professor“ was going for. Was he trying for goodfellas or the godfather?

So a fun fact “Professor“ is I am of Italian heritage. So if you’re saying I’m being racist to other Italians by poking fun at your outfit on a hot summer day I can’t help you, It is just another typical word salad from you to try to seek an advantage or attention.

And I’m not poking fun at the lovely event that a community threw, it’s all about how ridiculous and disingenuous you are…along with the Handmaidens of Donnie who help run your social media. I mean in for a penny, in for a pound, how come you didn’t pose with the one who likes to wear a gas mask to school board meetings? Would her gas mask clash or something?

It also wasn’t a blog post, it was a social media meme of a bad politician so maybe there’s something else out there that I’m missing? It was merely something a lot of us found funny because dude your outfit. I guess now I understand why you are actually kind of camera shy for a political candidate? and when you do get in a photo, you always seem uncomfortable/smarmy and why is that?

I also have to ask, did you think the Gilligan’s Island reference was racist? And if so, how so?

What’s really funny is the “professor” loves to quote Martin Luther King Jr. and Michelle Obama like farting, yet out of the other side of his mouth loves to chat about things like the evils of CRT, a favorite Trojan Horse of extremism politics which even a third grader knows isn’t taught in the public schools?

I could go on, but I won’t. It’s just too easy. I will also say out loud that the “Professor” give off the same ICK factor as county commissioner candidate David Sommers so I am surprised that they are not besties yet?

Whatever “professor”, you just keep flying high. If the voters of the Downingtown Area School District are very, very lucky you’ll hit a satellite or something and end up someplace else. 🤣

Anyway, I thought maybe he would like to sing better so enjoy “professor” smarmy, the musical.

a battle won in the war to save lionville station farm and some clarity needed

Uwchlan said no to the crazy overnight construction hours requested by Portman who will be destroying Happy Days Farm, which originally was a Penn Land Grant. Portman which acquired this magnificent property wanted overnight construction from 7 PM to 3 AM.

And in unexpected news, Audubon Land Development WITHDREW their preliminary sketch plan for Lionville Station Farm.

This is far from over. This isn’t winning the war against mega warehouses, it’s just a battle won. Neighbors and concerned citizens MUST remain vigilant.

Now we are all being asked to write to Downingtown Area School District:

Email the DASD school board and superintendent.

Uwchlan Township has confirmed that Audubon has “diligently” withdrew their mega-warehouse sketch plan. Remember when DASD attorney Mr. Roger Huggins went on the record and said “so far Audubon’s been doing a pretty good job and they have been diligently pursuing their obligations.” Well, any fact finder can tell you that by withdrawing your sketch plan, you are not diligently pursuing anything.

Dear DASD school board and Superintendent,

The prospective purchaser of the Siemens Property (Audubon Land Development) has withdrawn their proposed sketch plan from Uwchlan Township.

Consequently, since the sales agreement took effect on July 13, 2022, over a year ago, there has been a complete lack of official progress in meeting their commitments to pursue the land’s development rights.

Any studies that may have been communicated with you have not been received by the Township, nor have they been formally submitted. This renders them essentially meaningless.

Maintaining this property under contract with a potential buyer who has shown no measurable progress in pursuing development endeavors represents a violation of your fiduciary obligations. You are now dealing with a buyer who is actively failing to adhere to the contractual terms. The buyer is already in default.

With no existing sketch plan and no possibility of obtaining conditional use approval by August 29th, it is now your responsibility to promptly terminate this agreement with Audubon.

Enough is enough!

It should now be very clear to you that the $96M has always been a fantasy. Yes, you got played. It’s time to do the right thing before you do any more harm to the reputation of our school district and our community.

~ Message this morning to from Save Lionville Station Farm

A round of applause goes to SAVE Lionville Station Farm which is doing a great job in spite of certain factions incorrectly asserting that they are supporting extremist school board candidates like Chris Bressi. They are not. Chris Bressi and his tribe keep trying to co-opt their issue and group. This group has one purpose and that is to stop the warehouses.

This group has asked politicians current and prospective to sign a pledge essentially asking for them to agree to SAVE Lionville Station Farm and the surrounding area from the insanity of mega warehouse development and that means if elected or on school board voting no.

This pledge is very similar to the ones we as the then Save Ardmore Coalition many many years ago asked politicians current and prospective to sign to stop eminent domain for private gain in Ardmore. Save Lionville Station Farm is NON PARTISAN just like we were.

The Save Lionville Station Farm Group has been challenged constantly since inception by factions and people trying to co-opt, infiltrate, take over, take advantage of what their goal is: TO STOP MEGA WAREHOUSES AND SAVE LIONVILLE STATION FARM.

The fact that these people in this group have put down politics for community and the greater good is amazing in this ridiculous political climate is nothing short of amazing.

So kindly see more cheap political tricks from people like “Professor” Chris Bressi as exactly what they are: cheap political tricks. This politician in particular will use any community group or cause around for personal gain. Even a Uwchlan Supervisor has commented on it in a community group.

I believe in honor and integrity, and I do not believe this politician has either. He will tell you he does and he likes to talk about those words, but I don’t think he actually knows what they mean in real life.

If someone farts and Bressi can use it, repost, and ask for a campaign donation, he does it. He’s only supporting himself and attempting to co-opt everyone and everything else. He’s like an empty suit. And although he shows up at events gladhanding the music thing about this political candidate is he never wants his photo taken.

Bressi’s kindred spirit running for County Commissioner, David Sommers, is more subtle but he’s hanging around to try to get votes not to actually help residents here. He doesn’t actually say he’s for saving anything other then his political aspirations, and he has a website that is glossy and full of unicorns farting rainbows but the devil is in the details and he hangs around with Margie Miller from DASD who is most definitely a snake. He will have his photo taken with anything or anyone that stands still long enough. As always, he’s running a campaign that is all fluff and little substance. And he hasn’t seemed to pledge to stop mega warehouses, or fill out a candidate questionnaire. So that answers your question right there about what he’s about.

Political candidates like these two aren’t going to know your name, if they get elected. They are going to remember that they signed any pledges to do anything other than further their own ambition.

But what I am seeing out here is people trying to conflate school board issues. For the people trying to save Lionville Station Farm that is their issue. It is not to be added to or conflated with other issues. People on both sides are trying to conflate their issue with other issues, as well as co-opt them for political gain.

And then you have the people on the DASD school board that people actually like and want to have them stay in the office, only they’re cutting off their noses to spite their faces. Their community is not saying don’t sell the land if you can’t afford to keep it, they’re asking to save the area from mega warehouses. They are asking that Chester county not be made to look like the Allentown, I-80 corridor.

I am a realist. And I also get frustrated by people who just say to save everything as open space yet then never even suggest how that is supposed to be afforded.

Unless a land angel appears from the sky, I don’t think this parcel will be completely protected in perpetuity. But I do think that there has to be another better plan out there and another buyer for the parcel that could at least preserve some of it and not load it up with apartments or mega warehouses.

I will close by saying that I think everyone needs to stop being used by the current crop of political candidates. And people fighting to keep the DASD school board from going crazy like it should be in Bucks County instead of Chester County need to remember that Saving Lionville station farm is a standalone issue. Do not conflate it with other issues. And it’s OK for it to be it’s own issue.

To the school board directors of the Downingtown Area School District I simply state the following: you have the unique opportunity here to unwind a disastrous plan. Take that opportunity and run with it. Don’t do an imitation of Lower Merion School District’s school board. Do the right thing for your community. Give people the best reason possible to still believe in you: believe in them and stop the warehouses which will detrimentally affect everyone even the district. And get a new solicitor for your school district.

Stop the bad plan, seek a new plan and compromise with your community.

I will also note that I have had people who want the warehouses stopped attack me for suggesting they not get used by politicians. Their largest retort is my trying to pass along the benefit of prior experience as being a distraction to their mission is kind of funny.

Ok whatever. I can walk away from lots of issues I’ve been helpful on. And I can stop responding to people that contacted me looking for help as well. And I might just do that. Which would be a bummer because the one thing you can always count on if I try to help and it’s not that I want something, it’s not that I want your vote for elected office, I just do things because I think it’s the right thing to do.

Put that in your pipe and smoke it as my one grandmother used to say

Thanks for stopping by.

oh my gosh “professor” you’ve been found out!!

There is this guy running for school board in the Downingtown Area School District. A nouveau politician who scrubbed all old social media and now he has a page where he’s like a drag version of Michelle Obama except more like her evil twin who is a member of Klanned Karenhood, right?

Well the professor from Gilligan’s Island has more credibility and now others are realizing it because why? Oh yes when politicians try to use local issues for political personal gain, well….people notice….and they don’t like it…..shocker, right?

People in DASD if you vote for him, you deserve what you get. That is all.

Politics is like spy vs. spy and the guy who always wants to tell you he’s by far the smartest guy in the room, generally speaking is not. And that’s something where he’ll say I am going low but last time I checked he wasn’t an air traffic controller.

Happy Sunday.

what would george elliot have thought?

Quotes. People love putting quotes out there on social media. But part of the context of quotes is not the quote borrower, but the quote originator. Like George Elliot. But I am getting ahead of myself. First we need to consider the borrower of a George Elliot quote, a politician running for DASD school board named Professor Christopher Bressi formerly known as Christopher Bre on Facebook.

Dear Professor Politician changed his profile before running for DASD school board. As in his old profile was made to poof disappear.

He talks about censorship, yet he censors comments he doesn’t like and yet he’s a politician running for public office? Quite amusing, yes?

Above is something the learned professor candidate posted yesterday. Ironic statements are highlighted. Why? Again….because before he launched his public page he deleted his old profile so that none of his old comments could come back to haunt him. So yeah funny ironic that he talks about hiding and trust, etc?

In this post are some screenshots his old profile, Christopher Bre. See how he talks about censoring in the one, which is also ironic given that he picks and chooses the comments he allows to post on his public politician page, right? And why is it politicians think that they can censor and ban although case law now dictates otherwise? Have they met Montgomery County’s Joe Gale?

Gosh and check out above for that old post, a classic, right? And again, what could be said about nouveau politicians who delete their old profile immediately prior to launching a campaign for school board? Below screenshot on the left was taken prior to him deleting his old profile. The one on the right is from today. His comment is gone because he deleted his old profile and made an entirely new one before he launched.

Now my personal favorite about this political candidate for Downingtown’s school board isn’t just new profiles and censorship. It’s who he quotes at the top of his “group” which to me is an amusing conversation in and of itself.

George Elliot was prolific writer of the Victorian era. Only George was not a George, that is to say he was a she. Mary Ann Evans. George Elliot was her pen name or pseudonym. She was a writer and poet. Creator of 7 famous novels : Adam Bede, The Mill on the Floss, Silas Marner, Romola, Felix Holt, The Radical, Middlemarch ,and Daniel Deronda. A lot of these books have been movies or PBS series.

She was born on the estate where her father worked as a miller. She was born Mary Ann Evans but wrote as George Elliot? Was that merely because in Victorian times it was unseemly for a woman to be a writer?

Before she became a writer, amusingly Evans/Elliot was the editor of what was then a radical left wing periodical called the Westminster Review, which existed to promote political and social reform. She was born the same year as Queen Victoria, so this was definitely not the era of women of independent thought.

Now here’s why I find it interesting other than this school board candidate is quoting a Victorian author who was a woman but masqueraded under a male pseudonym. Evans/Elliot also did not adhere to the rules of the day with acceptable relationships.

Evans/Elliot actually created scandal in the accepted mores of society. Her first relationship was with a guy who contributed to that Westminster Journal named George Lewes. Mr. Lewes was in an open marriage with a woman named Agnes Jervis. It was Victorian England so open marriages? Most definitely NOT a thing. Lewes was not divorced and could not get a divorce because although he and wifey on paper hadn’t lived together for years, he condoned her adultery after a sense because he allowed all of her illegitimate children to have his name and have their birth certificates all have his name, not the actual baby daddy’s name.

Following? Ok so messy non-divorce means that Evans/Elliot lived in sin with Lewes until he died.

Evans/Elliot was a fascinating writer. She called out anti-semitism before it was talked about for example. That was evident in her novel Daniel Deronda. But she was a writer who hid her true self from the public at large because society would not have approved or accepted her truth, would they?

So is this why this political candidate for school board seemingly hides who he is? Perhaps he is not even what his Stepford Wives for Totalitarianism fan base thinks he is?

Color me amused that this guy quotes George Elliot. Because if you follow the pretzel logic of these people, one would expect that her books would be on a banned list and her lifestyle and life would not fit their narrative.

Truthfully I am not sure George Elliot books are in public school libraries any longer. By the time I hit high school she was mostly taught in private schools, and if George Elliot were alive today you would probably find her writing about topics that are part of why banned book lists are popular with certain segments of society, right? So yup, a politician pandering to extremist groups who represent some of the worst theories of bigotry and hatred is quoting George Elliot, a dead Victorian author who was a woman named Mary Ann Evans who lived a lifestyle they would not approve of along with her belief system and writing subject matter.

Food for thought. Food for thought.
